An Addicted Media?

The governor of Illinois, who looks more like Fred Flintstone than anyone should, called President-elect Obama a “motherfu*ker” and stated that all the Obama administration had offered him for his pay to play scam, was gratitude.

From this somehow many of the talking heads (media?) have deduced that there must be something shady going on between Obama’s camp and the Fred Flintstone look alike camp. These folks (media?) are so addicted to scandal that they can’t seem to go a day without creating one even if it’s created out of nothing but thin air. I suggest they need some sort of calm down rehab before they crash into a fit of stupidity.

For eight years they injected everything they were given by the white house. They never asked the right questions or questioned what they were told. Now the election is over. There are no more Rev Wrights and such to give them their daily buzz. As they go through scandal withdrawal, they are frantic for just one last fix and if they can’t find it, they’ll try to mix something up by themselves. Everyone knows that the worst thing you can do for an addict is to feed into their addiction. So until the (media?) hits bottom and tries to get help, I have one suggestion. Just tune them the hell out. I am!

The media is just trying to keep somethign out there so they can report on it. It's just like that 'Puma' crap they tried to keep alive for months this summer.

Having grown up in Illinois, this situation makes me especially ill. He does look like Fred Flinstone, doesn't he? I was trying to pinpoint it and couldn't for the life of me hit the nail on the head.
As for the media...I wish for a repose to a kinder, gentler time.

You said it, sister! The media has been trying to suck Obama into this mess and many others from the moment he announced his candidacy and he hasn't bitten, In fact, the FBI asked him not to come clean with this own internal investigation of the Blagojevich scandal until next week; a point I'm sure that Fox News will deem suspicious and partisan.

You'll be happy to know that I've cut down my consumption to just about 15 minutes of Joe Scarborough in the morning. It's all I can take.

they drank BushCo's koolade without any questions whatsoever.

now, they're creating scandal wherever they can.
1st there's Blagojevich, and now I'm seeing all this stuff about Caroline Kennedy [leveling the same old charges about lack of experience -- and these are the same people who drank the koolade when it came to Palin. HELLO?!? try asking Caroline what magazines she reads -- I'll bet she'll be able to name several----- ]

yep. it's time to withdraw our eyes from the MSM until such time as they quit giving the rethugs a free ride and attacking the dems every chance they get.

reminds me of a scene from Life Of Brian when they corner Brian and accuse him of being the messiah and he denies it.

and the person says
"Only the true Messiah would deny his identity"

To which Brian responds "Well what sort of chance does that give me?!"

Welcome to Chicago Politics as usual. I'm not all that bent out of shape by it, because just like a toddler whining or a cuckoo clock in your diningroom, after a few years you learn to just tune it out.

If I gave myself ulcers over ThisGate or ThatGate or WhateverGate the media here in the Windy City was playing with themselves over every day, I'd have no stomach lining left for Xmas cookies!!

First off I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick
question which I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was curious to find out how you center yourself and
clear your head before writing. I've had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Kudos!
