The Dispatcher in Chief?

We know McCain dispatched Thing 1 and Thing 2 (Lieberman and Graham) to Georgia last week to do something about the Georgia and Russia conflict. Now McCain has dispatched Cindy McCain to Georgia to oversee the humanitarian effort in that area. McCain’s just a regular little dispatcher isn’t he?

Yes, Cindy has in the past traveled around the world as a result of several humanitarian charities she is associated with and maybe it isn’t all that unusual that she would go to Georgia. But still, this trip just coincidentally coincided with the day Michelle Obama was to give the speech of her lifetime? What are the odds that the hopeful Dispatcher in Chief would coincidentally do his dispatching on that same particular day?

It’s wonderful that the McCain’s are so concerned about the victims of the Georgia and Russia conflict. Such humanitarians those two. Does anyone remember how soon after Katrina struck the Gulf Coast the McCains dispatched their asses down there to help?

it is not coincidence the charity drug-stealer was sent to georgia at this point in time. remember her husband said that in the 21st century nations dont invade other nations.

maybe cindy can walk through the tbilisi market with a bullet proof vest and buy some rugs for one of their 12 homes back in the states.

Whatever I was going to say has been trumped by Dcap- he is so right.

It is a disgraceful show of political game playing.

Ack. Disgusting!

Using the tragedy of Georgia to grandstand and try and upstage Michelle Obama is the lowest of the low.

I hope Cindy brought some of that delicious McCain birthday cake. You remember how much he enjoyed it in 2005.

and by the way, thank you Libs for slecting Biden as your running mate. It is, in a metaphorical sense, a "target rich environment"

And they used the United Nations that McShame hates to make the well publicized visit.

And what is even more disgusting than that is that according to the latest polls, exactly half of America is falling for McCain's bullshit.

Worrisome. Very worrisome.

I don't remember - did the McCains EVER dispatch anything to NOLA or the Gulf Coast?

Imagine if B. Obama sent his wife to Georgia right now what the wingnuts would be saying.

Not that I pay a lot of attention to the McCain's, but I always notice Cindy is right there with him at every stop. This is the first time I've seen her elsewhere, which yes, is in response to Michelle's speech.

Nice try, McCain, but it'll take something more spectacular than that to top Michelle's speech and the Obama family on stage afterwards.

You know something I haven't heard mentioned about the Lieberman/ Graham thing is how pissed off I'd be if I was a consituent of either of those Senators.

"What do you mean the Senator from Arizona sent you somewhere? Don't you have things to do to, you know, help this state?"

What Dean Wormer said! What the hell do those idiots know about Russia/Georgia? About as much as Pill-Poppin' Mama Cindy does, I guess.

Great post, PoP. And I don't remember whether McCain and Cindy ever even went to NOLA. I doubt it, unless his handlers told them there'd be cameras there to mug for.

McCain: 'Uh, Georgia -- that's the peach tree state, right? Wasn't Tara there? I seem to remember marching through there when I was with General Sherman.'
