The Great Juicer Instruction Booklet Mystery

Because I haven’t used my nifty electric juicer for a long time, I decided to give it to a girl who works for Mr. Pop. I also wanted to give her the instruction/recipe booklet that came with the juicer. I’ve had the juicer for three years.

Okay, a little personal note. I keep the instructions to everything mechanical that we purchase. I’m goofy like that. So to find the instruction book for the juicer should be a piece of cake…..should be.

I have gone through all my files, all my kitchen drawers and every damned place I know to look. The juicer instructions are no where to be found.

I did find the instructions to a TV that we haven’t owned for ten years. The instructions for a frig we haven’t owned for three years. The instructions for a coffee maker I don’t even remember owning. And about ten more booklets whose time has long passed.

Why is it with all my careful preservation of instruction booklets, this is the only one that I can’t find? I have about driven myself insane with this search. Oh, and did I mention I also found the instructions for the fondue set (now long gone) I was given about 30 years ago?

You and me both. The practice has got me out of a jam more than once. Thing is, you gotta go through and 'cull the herd' every couple years, though the other day I found everything for a computer I haven't had (5 years) in a while too ...

I keep all the instructions/warranty booklets in a neat pile. I've never actually needed any, but when I do, it's going to take a couple of days to find the right one.

Maybe I should alphabetize them. Yeah, maybe next year.

And in 10 years when you'll be looking for some other instruction booklet, you'll find the one for the juicer.

My wife is like that too. Anytime we get something new, she goes through all of the paperwork. Sometimes she has to dig through the trash to find it because I throw it out as soon as I see it, but she finds it and saves it.

i save them all too- but mysteriously, my breadmaker book went missing. sigh. depending on the brand- many manufacturers have the pdf booklets on line. that's where i found my white and whole wheat bread recipes- and pizza dough. give it a try :)

You sound like my girlfriend, she keeps all the paper work on everything, even the stuff we've gotten rid of.

Just have her watch one of those Jack Lalane juicer infomercials. Or get large sheets of plastic, cover everything in the kitchen, then experiment.

I'd be worried that I juiced the booklet just to see what would happen!

So the missing juicer instruction book is just a metaphor for our missing Constitution, right? ;)

so sorry, PoP--
but, isn't it The Law?
the one you're looking for is the one that's lost.

so, why not try looking for the booklet for the vacuum cleaner or the DVD player? mebbe you'll find the one for the juicer?

it's worth a shot, anyway.

You're funny! My wife is like that but i throw everything away often to pay for it later. A Juicer sounds pretty much self dictatorial no?

I have a file called instructions and warrenties. It too never seems to have THE instructions or warranty I am looking for.
