As Biden takes off the gloves, does McCain take off the Mittens?

Saturday, the McCain camp was quick as a whistle to come out with an ad showing Senator Biden criticizing Senator Obama and lauding Senator McCain. With that in mind, I’m guessing Mittens Romney will not be getting the tap for Senator McCain’s vice president. I think we all remember that during the primaries, Mittens, for all intents and purposes, called Senator McCain a liar.

If Senator McCain chooses Mittens, his campaign must know the words of that incident will be out there and now could easily be used. They wouldn’t be so stupid as not to realize that, would they?

mittens may have a house problem - like in too many. also can you imagine the ads regarding mittens buying companies and then firing people (that is what he does). Carly Fiorini has the same problem. Ridge is pro choice

my favorite is mccain's ad saying obama is overlooking hillary - hahahahahaha, the caring GOP.

could be pawlenty, but as i keep saying - all this is moot in 2 weeks.

I keep hearing and reading about Sarah Palin. It would be a bold choice on McCain's part indeed and might appeal to Hillary supporters feeling disenfranchised.

McSame needs someone to hook him into the conservative base which he needs badly. Who that will be is anybody's guess. The campaign hasn't exactly been making smart decisions so far.

They probably figure that the Dems are too spineless to milk that like they should, or that it won't have that much of an effect.

I think Biden will clear this all up, calling it what it was, primary campaign rhetorical bullshit. He'll smile winningly when he does it.

Even though the polls have evened up to a dead heat since the announcement, I don't think McCain can win Michigan without Mittens. I could be wrong -- in my area the Obama team is very visible and vocal, while the conservatives remain eerily invisible and quiet.

Maybe Johnny Rotten is taking Michigan for granted? THAT would be stupid.

We are fired up and busting ass to make this happen!

McCain is picking Baby Jesus to run with him so it won't be a problem.

Those commercials suck. Of course they had on in the can in case he picked Hillary that was all hate on Hillary, I'm sure.

I just hope that Obama and Biden don't let the McCain campaign continue to define them. I hear it's going to be all celebrity icky icky messages during the convention spewing from the Right.

Deep down inside I hope McCain does pick Romney. I would love to see that whole Mormon albatross bring them both down.

They're Republicans they could care less about the hypocrisy as long as they get their way. You can bet it will be Romney and if martial Law isn't invoked first and they steal a third election as I believe they will we are screwed!

What amazes me is that McCain immediately put out the statement that Obama "picked his harshest critic," then put out a commercial saying that Hillary wasn't chosen because she was too critical of him. Talk about speaking out of both sides of the mouth at once.

That said, if McCain doesn't choose Hillary for VP I'm voting for Obama out of spite.

Definitely one of the best post titles ever.

This is just a wild guess. McCain will pick Dick Cheney. Hey, it could happen.

Just remember who you heard it from first...

I'm still reminded of the "heartbeat away from the presidency" mantra that surrounded Bush/Quayle. I hope (in case the repugs steal another election) he picks someone with at least a few brain cells that aren't filled with crazy. Mittens ain't it.
