Sometimes this feline is critical of the human race, but not today. You guys nominated my guy, Senator Obama, as your candidate for President. I could not be more proud of you. Like you, I’m fired up and ready to go!
On another subject, the Pops and I are thinking of the residents of the Gulf Coast this weekend and hoping some miracle or something protects them from the approaching storm. We remember another time and another storm. Please don’t let the past be repeated.

Storm storm stay away is what Mr. BooBoo the cat has been saying! We don't want our Gulf Coast friends- or anyone, to have to deal with Gustav!

If Gustav keeps to its current track New Orleans is in trouble. The pumps are suspect and the repairs to the levies was half assed at best.
The GOP has an opportunity to redeem itself but failed.
Time for Change with a capital C and Obama is the man to do it.

Fred, sometimes we humans actually do get it right! I hear this morning that they are evacuating hospitals and jails in NOLA in advance of the storm. Another good move by homosapiens.

acourse, the fact that they only planned to rebuild the new levies to a level 3 capacity [and even that feeble effort hasn't been completed] puts anything else the gov't does in the so-what? department.

I guess women are so stupid that they won't look past the fact that she has ovaries and see that she's anti-choice, anti-education, anti-environment, pro big oil and has no experience.
the more I see of McSame's campaign the more it looks like the current GOP strategy is to lose this election and be poised to grab the WH back when the voters turn on the next president when he can't clean up 8 years of carnage in 4 years.
the scariest part of this scenario is the fact that it might work.
