Show them for who they are

Every bastard who voted against the Webb amendment yesterday should have his or her name up in lights under the heading, “Those who do not support the life and welfare of our troops”

I am so distressed beyond belief over this.

And then as I was getting ready for work I hear that self-hating Lieberman prattling on about the war.

They disgust me. Party affiliation means nothing. They disgust me.

Check out this link to Yikes and her good post on this topic.

Between this and the Jena 6, this is a pathetic day in our history.

Agreed PoP and the same could be said about those who voted to not to restore Habeas Corpus.
Very disappointing day in the Senate for human rights and the welfare of our soldiers.

It is obvious the troops are hated by these war lovers.

Uh, Support the Troops. Bullshit! If they did they would bring them back and let them do the job they signed up for, and not be playing them like pawns in their failed political games.

Then they try to blame Iran for all the damage and genocide that Saudi Arabia has created in Iraq.

Those that use the troops like they do are traitors, trading in their integrity for political and capital gain.

And Bush and "Betray US" acting like they are doing the troops a gift by letting them go home when the deployment is over. They weren't saying they wanted start bring the troops home, they were saying they wanted to continue the failed "Stay the course" policy.

Damn this makes my blood pressure raise. Its the Department of Defense, not Dept Of Politics, and isn't Homeland Security the same thing as Defense. WTF! Why do we need two different government beauracracies focused on the same task? micromanagement and power. They have wasted so many resources to avenge a crime.

The greatest disaster to ever befall the U.S. was the neo-conservative reaction to Sept 11. They gave up our American principles for satanic vengence.

Awww, the neocons didn't react to 9/11, they took advantage of it. They've been waiting on tenterhooks for a provocation, and a president that they could push into an incident. They finally got it.

And, the propaganda and lies never stop. I called LIEberman's office yesterday:

Me: I’m calling to let MY SENATOR know that I want Habeus Corpus RESTORED.

Office Flunky: Maam, did you know that you do have the right to Habeus? Your rights were never taken away.

Me: If you do not know what’s been happening in our government, you probably should not be working for Senator Lieberman.

Office Flunky: Maam, as a US Citizen, your right has never been affected.

Me: Padilla is a US citizen, and he was tortured for 5 years without seeing a lawyer, without seeing a judge, do you call that “never been affected?

Office Flunky: Maam, as a US Citizen, you have the rights of habeus, and that right has never been affected.

Me: “Thats BULLSHIT!” Slams down the phone.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Damn, that bastard always gets my blood pressure up!
i urged both my senators to vote yes on both issues, and i will thank them for doing so. if your senator(s) voted yes you should consider thanking them. can't hurt to encourage good behavior, even in senators.
it ain't over.
You'd need a media that wasn't a willing participant in this charade we call the Bush foreign policy for people to know and understand just how bad that vote yesterday really was for the troops
that's why catch phrases(like "support the troops") repeated ad infinitum, and slapped onto car bumpers mean nothing to those lying bastards! they don't care about the soldiers or the countless families that are suffering. if they did, the amendment would have passed. and besides, how many americans even paid attention to that vote? i mean, it's all oj , all the time-again.
Just who are the Republicans for in this country called America?
How can they be for the troops when they send them this type of message?
How can this President and the General in charge of this war in Iraq be for the troops, when they demand this type of action to continue their surge?
What Republican can honestly support the Republican Senate and this President and Why?
IF THEY ARE NOT FOR US, THEY ARE AGAINST US!!!
Well you know it's really way more important to vote on an amendment condemning Moveon.org. Check it out:
Senate passes 72-25 a GOP amendment to repudiate MoveOn.org ad.
I think that they're going to reap the sh*tstorm on this one. I was just reading today about how even the 'War Widows' in Texas are fed up with Bush's war.
My comments are not posting on blogger today, damn it. I said something earlier.
Anyway, this is sick and sad. Unbelievable actually. It's a no-brainer, yet there you go...and we'll really have a lot of people to support and care for whenever these warriors get home and need therapy from the "war" and all the lost relationships from being away for such a ridiculous amount of time in some alternate reality that no one but they can relate to.
I hate the bastards of the congress. They constantly compromise to get this law or that law passed or not. But rarely have any guts to vote for policies that makes sense for the regular people of our country.
I still say a mass exodus from the Dem Party to Independent would let them know how much of their base they're sacrificing.
I think we need to conduct mock funerals to bury the deceased Constitution, too. Soak it in oil, add some blood, light a match, then a tombstone with the inscription:
July 4, 1776-September 20, 2007
Here lies Democracy.
Bush lies everywhere else.
