Here’s looking at you kids

Here’s looking at you kids. That’s something I haven’t gotten to do as much lately as I would have liked. Mr. Pop has been using this computer here at the house to do some of his work. The nerve of him, right? Just because it’s his company computer and all. Seems the distractions here at home are far less than in the office with activities all around. So due to that situation, I haven’t gotten to visit my cyber friends a lot.

Plus I have been preparing to be away for a couple of days. The above mentioned Mr. Pop has another business convention, in Boca Raton this time. Once again I get to go along. This convention will take place at a swanky resort. Swanky is fun sometimes. There’s a fancy dinner Thursday night so I have to dress and act like an adult. Not my favorite sort of thing. Casual is where I am most comfortable.

While he’s at his meetings I’ll be snooping around the grounds and looking for pictures to bring back to you. There won’t be a post here tomorrow and Friday’s post will probably be late.

Fred and Murphy will be off to the vet’s today and once again they will try to give the fearless Fred the Cat his shots and chip. It better happen this time. I’ve tried to explain to him that it won’t hurt and that he needs to be brave, not mean.

I leave you with one question. Why didn’t the president address the nation yesterday, six years after the worst attack on our soil?

Take care, have fun, and I’ll see you sometime Friday.

because whoever his new Svengali is - Josh Bolten, Pickles/Botox Laura or even Rove know that his predilection for mangling the language would be a tough one to explain on a day like 9/11.

Also he plans on blessing us with his encouraging words on Thursday night -- so make sure you set you VCRs/TIVOs/DVRs. You know -- how we are kicking ass, and NOW how he is gonna bring some troops home just in time to help his GOP buddies use it as an election talking point.

Bush is a complete and total moron -- but the evil sycophants around him know how to maneuver the media well enough to make every move he makes part of the total sales/snow/blow job he is pulling on America.

that is the 505a answer

Wasn't he busy reading a children's book in a classroom and couldn't be bothered to act? OH! That was years ago, how my addled brain forgets.

PoP - serve me up another cocktail. Maybe that's why my brain is addled.

Anyway I rather enjoyed that remarkable photo and am already considering ways to curb my disappointment over not seeing a post tomorrow. You don't know this but weekends are hell for me due to morningless martinis!

Have fun and go cause some trouble at that high falutin' place in Boca!!

And Fred... please Fred, hang in there. All will be well. I send Fred images of peace and courage.
Meow. My friend Mr. BooBoo echos this although he is currently chipless.

Shame?

You'd think so, but this bunch has proven pretty shameless.

Never fear Bush is going to bore the nation Thursday night with his dribble of war, and troops coming home, at least a few in a year, provided things are still great in Iraq.

Don't be surprised to hear more Iran lies since that is his next target.

He knows that when he tells the nation that their opinion is worthless and they can go to hell that the response is going to be another whack for the GOP. When he tells the nation that it will be business as usual in Iraq for the foreseeable future even some of the mouth breathers and drooling idiots that still support him will finally quit.
He is putting it off until the last moment because he is a coward.

For whatever reason, I'm just grateful the Shrub didn't milk that DAY again for his own gain.

Poor Fred. I feel the same way about shots and all that.

Cause he's doin' it tomorrow, and he can't keep two speeches in his head at the same time. Heck, he can't even keep ONE speech in his head at a time.

...Heck, he can't even READ one speech at a time and keep it straight. The Moron!

Oh, PoP, I read an article that talked about some studies that show those chips tend to get tumors around them.... I only skimmed it, but it was an AP story last week. Not to encourage Fred in his protest of shots and chipping, but thought I should mention it.

I'm GLAD the national idiot didn't make a "speech" yesterday. His voice puts me in seizure.

Have a grand time in Boca Raton. Maybe you can skip the President's speech while you're there. No reason to ruin a perfectly good vacation.

I don't know why he didn't capitalize on the 9/11 anniversary. It's very unlike him not to use that day in every way possible.

I think he didn't address the nation because he knew that the first thing people would ask is "why haven't you caught bin Laden yet?"

He didn't address the nation because he doesn't give a shit.

It really is that simple.

Why does he care? He got what he wanted out of 9/11. Many times over.

The dude is a fucking Sociopath.

Anyone who doesn't understand what that means look it up.

There really are human beings who have no souls.

Sorry if that's upsetting.

Ah Ha! I knew it!! First you gave me those inch and half long flying terrorists, now I have proof where those baby alligators come from!:)

You and Fred need to convince Mr. Pop you need a nice, sleek, portable laptop. We won't be in your way, with that.

Behave yourself this time, Fred! Good Lord!:)

Have a great time! quite honestly I never even thought of Bush on 9/11. Since many of us know he allowed it to happen so he could get the country and the world behind his so called war on terror so he could use it as an excuse to further his new societal, middle east, and world order we are all abused with daily. I am just glad the idiot shut his lying trap for once.

Enjoy yourself! We'll be waiting for a report on your travels.

I agree I'm just as glad Shrub didn't give a 9/11 speech. But it does show his callousness.

Regarding the chips, I read something about it too. Perhaps ask your vet whether it is a concern.

Perhaps even they now realize their popularity is so low that people might actually recognize that they are trying to capitalize on 9/11. Smart move not to speak I'd say.

Maybe the Shrub decided to spare us, for once. We can only hope.

Enjoy yourself and have a safe journey.

Man, that anole is really cute. Living in WI makes me realize I miss those little buggers.

Shrub did give a speech on 9/11 -- it was from the mouths of the General and the Ambassador, all day and the day before, too. Do you really think it was coincidental that the G and A happened to show up on 9/11?

"Why didn’t the president address the nation yesterday, six years after the worst attack on our soil?"

...I know what you're asking, but as a non-American, and not much of a political activist, more of a humanist, my thought is this:

Why does such nastiness DESERVE recognition? It pains me to think that in all this time of human existence, we are still fighting amongst ourselves... globally, anyway.

It is my personal believe that each and every soul involved six years ago, and affected today, deserves some quiet, personal reflection.

Did you see "Reign Over Me"? I was moved by the humanness.
