The worst of humans The best of humans
From a cat’s point of view, one little video on YouTube brings out first the worst of humans as they judge a book by its cover, or in this case a woman by her appearance. They look at her and snicker and smirk. Then when she begins to sing in an almost angelic voice the best of humans comes forth. They show their ability to relish in beautiful music as it brings many to tears.
Just one woman, a woman most would never even notice, yet within her is the ability to make millions stop, listen and admire her amazing voice. She brought forth the worst but thankfully also the best in human beings, This cat, Fred the Cat, would like to thank, Susan Boyle, for that. Because of her, I have a little more faith in you two legged creatures.
I would also like to say hello and send a hug to Miss Boyle’s cat, Pebbles.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the best of human beings.
Sincerely,
Fred the Cat ( the cat who loves you guys!)

have fun fred!
We all need to learn a lesson from Miss Boyle.
and somebody should kiss her madly.
19 million hits on You Tube, but it isn't really 19 million people. I know because I've seen it three times and cried every time.
She's a bloody wonder.
A friend emailed me the link and I have listened to it three times. I found an extended version that covers pre and post and listened to it again. Amazing, and as you say Fred, that will remind us not to judge a book by its cover.
Susan deserves the accolades she is receiving and give us all hope that tomorrow can be a better day.
Matty showed me the video the other day, and I just burst into tears. Amazing. She's getting hers now, though!
A shame humanity won't learn a damn thing from this episode and will go back to being a collection of assholes. But that chick can bloody sing.
I think they heard Simon's sphincter tighten across 3 continents.
I'm with Randall, today.
Sorry to disappoint you, Fred. We'll learn nothing from this. Though she certainly can sing and is likely to go on to great things.
But, people do even worse than judging others at first glance.
Like what Obama said yesterday.
Unless he recants, he lost my vote in 2012's primary -- and even the election.

Weighing: 1] judging others at first glance vs. 2] torturing.
There're both terrible. In fact, 1] can lead to 2].
Ditto to Matty Boy. I'm normally not inspired much by American Idol. But I just can't get enough of this woman.
Fred is so on Mark...and I couldn't agree more.
