Egotistical Pundits are highly over rated

The talking heads and pundits are trying to justify their existence by telling you they know what you are thinking, what you should be thinking, where your values are, and what they believe is best for you and your future. If they can convince you that they are better at making up your mind than you are, they feel they and their jobs have been justified.

Don’t let them do that. Don’t let them tell you what your concerns should be. When gas is sneaking up to four dollars a gallon. When the price of milk is keeping up with the price of gas. When the value of your home is going down due to the foreclosures in your neighborhood. When we have two wars raging and the threat of yet even another. When there are so damned many problems facing our country and our future, don’t let a bunch of egotistical pundits and talking heads dictate to you what they want you to be concerned about.

We’ll make our own decisions, thank you Mr. and Ms. Pundit. We don’t need you to coax our feelings to match your prognostication. We know what is really important to our lives and your professional future is not a factor in our reality. While you talking heads and pundits wring your hands over the words of Rev. Wright, most Americans are more concerned about our everyday lives and which candidate will work to make more things right in our future.

Yes, egotistical pundits and talking heads are over rated, not so much by us, but by their feeling that we need them. They believe they are necessary to help us wade through political waters. I believe they could easily drown us with their babble and minutia. Don’t let them muddy the water, not in a year when we must all view everything more clearly than maybe ever before.

The voracity of the attacks on Rev. Wright's statements by the pundits bear out the truth of those statements themselves.

Brava! I could not agree more. We have minds and the ability to use our critical thinking skills... we must use them.

As Walking Man says- take your freedom of thought back!

The pundits smell blood in the water and like sharks are moving in for the kill. Tweety and Morning Joe are writing off Obamas chances because of Rev Wrights speech at the press club yesterday. It is sad that some people will buy into this crap and I'm afraid this may give us four more years of bush/McCrazy.

Oh yes! Well put. Hours and hours of Rev. Wright and political navel gazing, but barely a word on policies and positions on things that matter.

So far this a.m., the only person who's even had two minutes to talk about policies instead of the inside baseball of the political process, was McCain's hack Carly Fiorina or whatever her name is who used to be with Hewlett Packard.

Fabulous.

I just want a President I can sit down and have a beer with.

I mean, what could go wrong with that?

Blah blah blah. Without their beltway connections, we could never, ever know the truth about what goes on in the shadowy hallways of power. So thank you, Joe and Sean and Bill and Mort and all the rest!

Funny, whenever I hear Rev Wright in full context he sounds very reasonable, and I agree with him. He actually has some important things to say that the powers that be do not want to hear. I think he's right to challenge the press for slander by a thousand cuts.

I agree, but the problem is the msm talking heads who take things out of context so the Rev Wright looks like one of those scary, angry black man. People need to reject this kind of reporting and start thinking for themselves.

i think there have been precious few times in history when people have actually thought for themselves.

i hope we can remember how.

I keep hoping that people will stop watching these talking hairpieces (as Randal calls them), realizing they are nothing more than bullshitters earning a big paycheck. Someday.

I've tuned them all out. I don't watch the stuff anymore. They fill me with the urge to defecate. I've truly disconnected myself from THEIR reality. When I do accidentally happen upon one of these programs, I have fantasies of "them" dying in a fiery and horrific plane or car crash.

Only thing more worthless than a pundit is a pundit that's written a book about why he's a pundit.

Which covers most pundits, I know.

They all suck.

I have to limit my tv news watching these days...though I love Keith Olberman, he says the same thing that Dan Abrams sez, that, all other talking heads say...and then we switch gears to FOX news and they're all on their bloody talking points.

My brain hurts. Oy.

The so called experts do not have a clue anymore. This is a new time. This is our time. The time of the common mane. We are the experts and no one is listening. The so called experts are wondering why they are consistently wrong. I can tell them but they do not listen.
Anyway We need Obama and he is the best for us and the world. however I am afraid McCain is already the chosen one. MSM will ignore all his inequities. MSM will focus on Obama until Republicans face and defeat Hillary.
They will focus on Obama’s and sinking the Democratic party while keeping this facade of a Democracy and free elections going. The alternatives to another stolen election are even worse. This is really terrible.
They accuse Obama of being an elitist! Obama is no elitist! He is great so he does not stand a chance. It is pretty bad when elitist the likes of McCain and Clinton get away with painting Obama as one!
I will never understand it but Dems will never get the backbone they need. they appear to be what we called as kids, tits on a bull, worthless! Until they grow some and learn how to defeat the Repub disinformation juggernaut we do not have a chance!

As a Canadian watching from across the border, I can only suggest what I think you should do. You have to remember that Obama and Clinton and McCain are going through a job interview process. You folks are the interviewers and you get to decide which one will be hired for the job. So you have to make your own decisions, and not let someone else do it for you.

The media gets over-involved. Traditionally the media is supposed to remain neutral. That is the job of the media. Report the news and stay neutral. So you should remember that their opinion is no more important than the opinion of Joe the Bartender, down the street.

Think for yourselves!

they care nothing about people, only about the dirt and trivilizing the whole process
