It’s April 15th, do you know where your tax money is going?

Today call your congress critter and ask them, should I make my tax check out today to the country of Iraq or the country of China. You know damned well that’s where your hard earned money is headed, so you might as well send the check directly to it’s final destination.

or perhaps to some project like a bridge to nowhere

can you imagine if we only had a few smart souls in COngress and the executive branch that knew how to effectively manage our money. it is so sad that our ROI for these clowns maybe the worst ROI in the history of mankind.

Today I started my day with the thought that I lacked the courage to be a tax protester.

Our taxes fuel the evil machine. It makes me feel outrage and sadness.

Good news!

If Moose claims his tips, he qualifies for the most stupidest economic stimulus in the entire history of the Bush administration!

But, wait. If he doesn't claim his tips, he's stickin' it 'em!

Oh, dear, how shall I advise???

I just stuff it all into a bag and send it to Iraq.

For the next twenty years.

Hey- thank God things all worked out there, eh?

Since the whole idea of "Representative Democracy" hasn't been working too well recently, perhaps allowing our tax dollars to be spent as "directed giving" might fix things. I can't think too many will be checking off the "War in Iraq" box.

Our government has become ineffective and defunct. The time for revolution has come.

Nick, They have Blackwater to deal with that possibility. You would simply disappear. You don't know how many times I have started to strap a pitchfork on the hood of my car along with a sign that says, "Follow me to DC or Bust". Problem is, none of these sheep would follow and I'd end up in Abu Ghraib. The majority actually believes the system sort of works. Pathetic.

I have always been glad to pay my taxes, until this team of idiots took over and destroyed our economy and our country. I would be delighted to fork over more money, if it would provide single-payer health care, sound environmental policy, high quality education. It irks me to no end to pay taxes so oil companies can have tax cuts, and the very rich pay no taxes at all. Oh yes, the time for revolution has long since arrived, but I think there are stars dancing on ABC and Obama said the word bitter.

Taxes? What a riot ... never heard of such a thing.
Who is this IRS thing, the modern mafia?
I'd rather not get involved with evil people like that!

I am another who doesn't believe taxes are a bad thing. However, government is supposed to be non-profit, but my tax dollars are going to line the pockets of war profiteers, Iraqi insurgents and Bush's and Cheney's oil CEO's.

well, this year anyway, I lucked out: no income.
next year there will be some so it'll be back on the treadmill at least for a while. :(

like several others who commented here, I used to vote for taxes to fund schools, infrastructure, etc. since BushCo stole the White House, I haven't voted in favor of one tax -- nor will I till sanity returns to the country.
