Which team is she playing for?

These are the words of one of our own candidates.

" Clinton said to a meeting of donors. "We have been less successful in caucuses because it brings out the activist base of the Democratic Party. MoveOn didn't even want us to go into Afghanistan. I mean, that's what we're dealing with. And you know they turn out in great numbers. And they are very driven by their view of our positions, and it's primarily national security and foreign policy that drives them. I don't agree with them. They know I don't agree with them. So they flood into these caucuses and dominate them and really intimidate people who actually show up to support me."

These are Senator Clinton’s words. These aren’t the words of her minister or a business associate.

Um, thanks Senator Clinton. Which party do you represent exactly? You have praised McCain’s lifetime of experience. Your husband praised McCain’s patriotism. And now you turn on the activists in your own party? Are you patterning yourself after Senator Lieberman?

Senator Clinton are we Democrats the enemy?

And for the record, I do not recall MoveOn speaking out against going into Afghanistan and I don’t believe they did.

moveon.org was founded by someone who worked for clinton -- and i believe to help bill through the monica mess

hillary sure has a short memory.

and moveon opposed iraq (like all sane people) and not afghanistan.

anything to win, including alienating critical voters

i cannot wait til this whole process is over

She's a tad angry... she hates when she is disagreed with.

It is never easy to be the queen, is it.

Off with their bloody moveon.org heads!

And yes Dcap, you are correct about the origins of moveon.org.

If, by some miracle or tragedy, she should get the Democratic nomination she will be extremely sorry she bad mouthed MoveOn and the other party activists.

As long as the Dems serve her and her husband well, they will remain Dems, but if the two ever switched allegiance, it would not surprise me in the least. Slime tends to follow the path of least resistance.

Everybody beat me to it, but there was no organized opposition in this country to the invasion of Afghanistan. That it hasn't been handled well and we have no way out without the Taliban regaining power, that's a widely held position now, but the argument for unilateral war against Afghanistan was made and everybody including the U.N. got the fuck out of the way.

It's easy to re-write history now, because so many people, starting with the journalists, are so freaking stupid!

Every time I think Hillary can't sink any lower she proves me wrong yet again. Is it possible to throw somebody out of the party?

Whenever Hillary opens her mouth now I have to go running out of the room. Even my 82 year old mother who has been a staunch supporter of hers has been turned off by her rhetoric. If Hillary has a big win in Pennsylvania tomorrow, it's going to be a very big bummer.

Yesterday, I was flipping channels and had to cross Fox. I saw Newt G. on there saying that the Dems had been "hijacked" by the extreme left. Now I see her trying to say the same thing?

As I said before, there is really only one Democrat in this race. A couple months ago, I was saying that I wanted an Obama/Clinton ticket, but now I don't want her in there at all. And, it seems, neither do a lot of people with close, long-standing connections to her.

WTF is wrong with her? What was she thinking? You can't alienate an organization like moveon.org and still expect to win dem votes.

I tell you, sometimes that lady really disappoints me.

The earlier commentor was right, no one opposed Afghanistan. And when I think of the young men and women who volunteered to fight in Afghanistan, only to be hijacked into Iraq....young people who lost their lives and limbs because of the deliberate lies and misrepresentations of this criminal administration...and when I think of Nancy Pelosi still insisting that impeachment is off the table....I wonder what happened to my country.

I certainly don't recall any anti-afghanistan rhetoric at the time -- from moveon.org or anyone else.

I DO however remember screaming at the radio [along with plenty of other folks protesting] when the lurch toward Iraq was being taken.

I can't blame her if she doesn't feel cozy with fellow Democrats. Democrats have turned on her like mad dogs after rhapsodizing about the great years under Bill Clinton during Bush's two terms. I'm disgusted with Democrats myself, which is why I'm now an independent.

The fact that Bill was better than Bush does not mean that Hillary is the best choice now, or ever. Any support she's lost, such as mine, is her own damn fault, not the fault of any "disloyalty" to the anointed one.
