Judge Sotomayor
Wow, I’ve discovered I have three things in common with Judge Sotomayor. We are both female, we both grew up reading Nancy Drew books and we both, at one time, lived in the projects as kids. Actually I have reread some of those Nancy Drew books as an adult because they take me back to the pleasure I found reading them as a kid.
Now we sit back and watch the right wingers go crazy while at the same time trying not to offend Hispanics or women. This should be interesting.

I know - I think Pres. Obama made an excellent choice - not only is she eminently qualified but if the GOP attacks her they will lose any hope of getting Hispanic votes in the future. The dance will be fascinating.
Already they've chosen their "buzzword" - "RADICAL". She's "radical" according to a large number of GOPers. Nevermind that she was first appointed to the bench by GHW Bush.
Or, as "Judicial Watch's" brain sturgeon Tom Fitton intellectualized:
David Shuster: "What evidence do you have that she would put her feelings and politics above the rule of law?"
Tom Fitton: "Because President Obama chose her."
Rush has already sung the overture. Seems she's one of those awful RACISTS. You know, one of those hateful folks who refuse to automatically put white people at the top of the heap.
There are a whole mess of GOP who are supremely unworried about offending anyone, least of all women and Hispanics.
Which is why self-identifying Republican registration is below 30% in many recent polls, as low as 21% in at least one.
Oh great, Aztlan will be starting any moment now.
I got two out of three. I was hoping Obama would appoint a black or Hispanic female who was also gay. Then Rush Limbaugh's head would surely explode.
and, they've got to be careful about offending the empathic folks.
oh, yeah, I forgot -- they lost them a l-o-n-g time ago.
nevermind.
I got the popcorn ready ...
What housing project did you live in? where?
