Good Morning America!
How are you?
I am so freaking excited today that I can’t think straight. The day we waited for, for so damned long, has finally arrived. To me it’s like the best birthday, the best Christmas, the best every day, all wrapped up into one.
I will be glued to the TV all day. I don’t want to miss one moment, one emotion, one word. I want to soak it all up and enjoy this delicious day.
Our time is finally here! My American flag will fly today and it will fly prouder than it has in a very long time.

Yeah, finally ... It won't seem real until I see his hand on the Bible.
My multi-racial granddaughters who are 11 and 1 will never have to think that the highest office in the land is beyond their reach. Millions of people of color will look at America in a different light come today. This is a day when America took a giant step to healing the one issue that has divided us since the beginning of this nation.
it is 730am in NY - 4 hours and 30 min to we rid ourselves of a dangerous virus and restore some hope and smile to this nation
i wonder if bush really knows how much people want to get rid of him
Whoo hoo! A President who talks sense and sensibility. Whoo hoo! What a day for us!

I am going to try to get it live on the 'net, at least the swearing in itself. Watch for me too!
What a great day to be here!
I sure as hell am ready. I am not going to fully relax until I see it done and Mr. Obama safely ensconced in the White House.
I am also looking forward to tomorrow when the revolution really gets underway.
It's January 20, 2009 and .... BUSH IS GONE! .... It is a great day for the planet and for all Americans!
Thinking of you today!!

I just saw the moving van out front of the White House and people loading stuff into it. I cheered.
Happy Obama Day!!!
Today is a great day.
Finally! We can breath again.
Just some quotes on goodness, greatness, mediocrity, success, and hope.
"Goodness is easier to recognize than to define." – Wystan Hugh Auden
“There are countless ways of attaining greatness, but any road to reaching one's maximum potential must be built on a bedrock of respect for the individual, a commitment to excellence, and a rejection of mediocrity.” – Buck Rodgers
"We must overcome the notion that we must be regular. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary and leads you to the mediocre."– Uta Hagen
“The greatest thing a man can do in this world is to make the most possible out of the stuff that has been given him. This is success, and there is no other.” – Orison Swett Marden
*****
"We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope. But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope." —Barack Obama
It's been a happy day. I'll take it.
Hi POP,
Long time no see ... what a wonderful day this has been, no?
Hope you and Mr. POP are well.
at some ball he just said "How ya doing"
HOW COOL IS THAT
how cool and great is this day
What a feeling. It's amazing, isn't it?
Someone said Obama will be hitting the ground running tomorrow and gave an outline of the meetings he has scheduled. And I was reminded of the day after the inauguration 8 years ago when Bush lit out for a month's vacation in Texas. At the time, I asked anyone who would listen why he worked so hard to steal the election if he didn't want the job.
A president who actually starts his term by showing up for his job. How cool is that?
A great day indeed. Here's to brighter days ahead.
