A Campaign Song for John McCain

Seems John McCain is having a little problem finding a campaign song that the writer of the song will allow him to use. So I’m thinking, I bet if we crank up our gray matter, we could come up with a song that fits McCain. One of my first thoughts was “Old Man River”.

As a counterbalance, I think Obama could effectively use Neil Young's "Old Man" very nicely!!

Fran's choice is excellent, because it's got a big campaign song hook.

Randy Newman's "Old Man on the Farm" is just too much of a downer.

Queen's "I Want It All" would be an excellent choice for the whole GOP's theme.

Gerswhin's "It Ain't Necessarily So" for 2 reasons:

1- the flip-flop thing

2- and the memorable line "Methuselah lived 900 years...."

On my post on this topic, I suggested "Same old story, same old song and dance" by Aerosmith, or "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath.

I'll have to go with Slayer's "Raining Blood" off their "Soundtrack to the Apocalypse".

Or "On the Good Ship Lollipop" by Tiny Tim.

Maybe play them at the same time.

(I this is probably the formula for finding that elusive "brown note" too.)
