Boo!

I know it isn’t Halloween, but I’m gonna scare you anyway. Here a little message from Senator McCain:

“Asked whether he’d be interested in Cheney had the vice president not already have served under Bush for two terms, McCain said: ‘I don’t know if I would want him as a vice president. He and I have the same strengths. But to serve in other capacities? Hell, yeah.”
(quote source)

How does that make you feel?

On that spooky note, I’ll wish you a great and safe weekend.

Sincerely,
Fred the Cat (the cat who loves you guys!)

But shouldn't Darth Cheney kill his old apprentice before choosing a new one.

Would impeachment of Cheney stop bar him from being part of a future administration?

p.s. I won't say 'serving' in a future administration because Cheney has never 'served' anyone except himself and his oil interests. It infuriates me to hear these warmongering neocons talk about their 'service' to this country.

It's been 88 years since we had an election where the sitting administration was not the standard bearer for the party. Not the pres or vice pres or even a cabinet member. It'as a very odd situation and it kind of stinks for the guy running, who has to say he loves and hates the people in power and that he isn't responsible for anything they do.

It sucks to be John Sidney McCain, and all I can say to that is:

Thank you, Jeebus!

Two things:
1. What has become of journalists? This is a "gotcha" question and is absolutely tabloid-ish in nature. It's embarrassing that these people are devoid of any true journalistic integrity.

2. The frightening thing about the statement is that Cheney can still be considered for a cabinet level appointment. "...serve in other capacitities", means an Advisory role that could potentially usurp the input of the new VP.

Just a reminder, folks, The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Now go grab life by the balls.... err, or something.

Strengths? Lying, shooting people in the face, starting wars, craving oil, hating his own country? Is that what McCain means?

What can we do to get Cheney to go back to Wyoming and live in a cave somewhere in the mountains and never be seen again?

Hmmmmmmmmm?

I'm still laughing at the "He and I have the same strengths" comment. Perhaps McFossil will take Chimpy quail hunting!

Love you too, Fred!

If I refrain from walking under ladders and breaking mirrors can we keep this scenario from happening? You have a great weekend, too, PoP.

Hiya Fred:
Don't let that bother you. McCain will do enough damage if he is elected, to render Cheney moot.

they have the same "strengths" AND the same weaknesses.
I wish McSame WOULD tap Cheney. I think even some of the famous 23% would abandon the sinking ship if he did that.

even coming this close might get some swing voters to swing.

I think even the densest know who our defacto president has been for the past 7+ years. talk about more of the same!!!
