Rest in peace Tim. I did not always agree with him, but in death I wish him swift passage (ok he and i shared the same faith fwiw!)to the next world.
And to his family and friends - wishes of consolation, healing and peace.
this is a tough one. i counted on tim, and seeing obama make history without him around seems really unfair.a journalist-among countless clowns.

I was away for the weekend and your post was the first I'd heard. I immediately went to NBC url and saw Brokaw's announcement. I'm am so shocked and terribly sad. He was one of the good ones - and had great humor doing what is oft times a nasty job. What a man to lose in these times...
