National Eating Day

In a couple of hours we will be off to Tampa to spend Thanksgiving with Mr. Pop’s family. I will be the token pagan at the table on Thursday. But hey, they’ll feed me a good meal.

A few years ago I managed to overcome the ovarian desire to spend all Thanksgiving morning cooking enough food to feed the Partridge family. I’m southern, I just couldn’t help it. Since that time I haven’t missed the cooking-a-rama one bit. If someone else wants to do the cooking, that’s fine with me. Just let me smell the aromas.

Whatever your plans are for Thanksgiving, I wish you a happy time, lots of fun and a full tummy.

Sincere holiday wishes to each of you and your families,
From me, Mr Pop, Murphy the Dog and of course, Fred the Cat.

Happy National Eating Day to one and all!

(I wish I could credit the cartoon above, but I have no idea where it came from)

Have fun in Tampa. One day I will write about it, maybe, but if I were (and I did once) figure out how much time I spent in FL, and in the Tampa area more specifically, it would come to over two years.

Lots of business trips to that place.
Today, I am thankful (nothing personal Tampa-St Pete or FL for that matter) to not be doing so.

Enjoy your pagan self and happy eating!

I will be cooking away. This is my favorite meal to cook for and for many years (ah another post maybe) I was in a relationship where I had no outlet for said cooking. As a result, I am still enjoying it.

However, check back in a year or two!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving PoP. I for one will be cooking. The traditional big meal here. Will do all of my pies today, pumpkin, apple, pecan. Do my dressing and get my roll dough made and resting in the fridge.
Don't eat too much.

O, how happy I am to not have to cook. Enjoy the food everyone. And the football, such as the Cowboys losing to the J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS! :)

Oh Randal, you can dream, my friend--but it ain't. gonna. happen. (well, unless Leon Lett comes out of retirement, and it snows in Dallas, and the 'Boys block a field goal, only to have Lett kick it into the endzone and a Jet land on it for a TD. It could happen; just ask the Dolphins. Ouch.)

Happy food coma day, Pop, and hugs for you all.

Have a great time. I soooo jealous because I always have the dinner at my house, my husband cooks the turkey and dressing...I'm vegetarian and can't stand to touch a raw turkey. But I wish my kids would take over the dinner. But, they are either too far away (if I go to their homes I will be leaving our two elderly mothers behind, they won't travel),and the one that lives near me has such a small apartment, she doesn't have room. I think her table seats two.

Have a wonderful time, safe travels, and eat, eat, eat!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and the whole PoP clan. We were supposed to be in southern Cal with family for the holiday, but instead we're waiting for a call from the doc to see if Roger is going to have surgery today. We're going to have a different kind of Thanksgiving for sure.

Happy Thanksgiving! What ever you do, stay away from the Turducken! I'm planning to eat some good turkey and watch football. I assume you will be watching your Cowboys Thursday evening?
