Too Hot, Baby!

Bring me the humans who deny global warming. I have claws and I know how to use them.

It’s hot down here in Fred the Cat’s, Florida and I know it’s even hotter elsewhere. Being a feline I have insulation through my fur, but you guys got nothing to insulate you. How do you guys stay cool?

Still, even for me, it’s too hot. It’s too hot to play. It’s too hot to tear the screens. It’s just too hot to do anything but snooze. Being a cat, I am a professional snoozer. Speaking of snoozing, I need a nap.

For a weekend bonus here are some pictures of a cute little chick and family. Be sure and click on the all the pictures to see the family up close and personal.

Have a cool weekend if you can.

Sincerely,
Fred the Cat (the cat who loves you guys)

Thanks for sharing the pics. Awesome. As for the heat, I started complaining about yesterday to my son who's stationed in Baghdad. I stopped myself as he's been seeing 130 for some time now.

The temps here have been absurd all week, breaking records everyday since Sunday.

It's hard to keep your cool.

Of course you will always be cool, Fred.

Fred, come on up to the pacific northwest. The sky has been gray for nearly a week, and the temps have been in the 60s! I hope our cool air makes it down there so you get some relief.

Fred, you and my grandbaby are quite astute. Oh, and you are going to be brilliant as Fred the Cat in Kink of Hearts - I applaud you as an actor!

I checked out your link to the cute little chick. It's VERY cute!

I can't imagine anyone denying global warming anymore, but I guess there are still idiots among us.

Me & my dogs stay cool by hanging out by the pool.

Hi Fred,

Cairo likes to stay indoors to keep cool. In the summer we don't go for walks until sundown, when it's cooler.

Your mom should be happy to know the Cowboys beat the Colts yesterday. Sure it's only a pre-season game but they're looking good.

Hi Fred, I was going to complain about the heat until I heard what Mary said about her son in Baghdad and 130 degree heat. You all have a safe weekend.

Oh, Fred, you are such a smart kitty. HA HAAA HAAA HAA HAA.

I love the heat, because it makes me sing "We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave" very loudly.

Even the indoor cats are lolling about more than usual. If they could reach the thermostat, it would be set at a nice comfortable 72 degrees, not at 78 degrees like mean DCup keeps it.

That Fred is adorable!

Fred,
Thanks for sharing your photo collection, but I must say, I now am totally hot for Rodrigo Miranda. I am going completely hormonal. Can I post his pictures on my blog so I can look at him often? Also, do you happen to know which beach he guards. I plan to come there, flop about like I usually do when I get into bodies of water that are not cement ponds, and wait for him to rescue me.

Hey there Fred.

My kitties send greetings and asked me to tell you it's hot here too.

The person they own (me) has been taking a few daytime naps of her own.

fred, we are hot too, but the people minstrel sent to manage things while he's gone have been keeping the misters going full blast. while we don't much care for getting wet if you are behind the mist wall it can be pretty decent here in the barn.

but it is never too hot to hunt mices. never.
