Same old Same old

I tried to watch some of the hearing yesterday regarding the death of Pat Tillman. After I heard Rumsfeld utter the Republican motto, “ I don’t recall”, three times, I turned it off. I couldn’t take anymore.

Later from TV I heard that Rumsfeld denied there was a cover up of the way Tillman died. No surprise there.

Does anyone trust Rumsfeld, even under oath, to tell the truth? Is there any one elected public official in DC, in the Republican party, or any member of this administration, you would trust to tell the truth at this point?

I only saw Rumsfelds photo at a quick glance and had to take a break. You have to be one of the toughest people I know to endure watching him that long. I hope they find him guilty of perjury and complicity in a serious crime.

This administration and the GOP in general have demonstrated that they cannot be trusted to tell the truth about anything even as far as what they had for breakfast. They want to maintain their hegemony at all costs and will do anything to do so.
All of the evidence says that Rumsfeld was lying.

I don't trust anyone in this group, elected or not.Tony Snow is the latest appointed mouthpiece of lies and propaganda, and with the constant flow of lies from Rummy on up, America is in the shape it's in today.

Interesting that so many (all really) in this administration never did anything wrong, forget more than they know, and can't admit any mistake at all? ; (

What are we to expect from the generations coming behind us who see this, know that no one takes responsibility for anything and gets away with it?

I wonder what they will do? ; (

I didn't watch any of it, nor the news, it stays the same, and never seems to change for the better.

It makes you wonder why Cheney (let’s not kid ourselves about whether W does any of the thinking for this outfit) is so adamant about claiming executive privilege when White House staffers are subpoenaed by congress since it has been clearly demonstrated that they can lie under oath with no possibility of being held to account.

If anyone in the admnin was trustworthy or truthful, we would not be in the probably unfixable mess we are now in. Not just with Iraq, but the trampling of our own rights, economic decline, unsafe foods and other goods imported into this country from China and elsewhere, etc., etc. Waiting for the dems to actually do something is becoming tiresome and frustrating.

Honestly, I'm beginning to doubt any elected official will tell the truth, Republican or Democrat!

Rumsfeld, not in a million years!

He just plain gives me the creeps, and I think that Tillman was executed by the government. They simply could not let him return alive. His voice, anti-war voice, would ring out around the world. Tillman was dangerous to their agenda and they killed him.

Coffee you are absolutely correct sir.

When I worked with kids one of my many observations was that kids, not all of course, seem to have utter disdain for responsibility and/or consequences.

"He made me hit him. I didn't have any choice. It's his fault."

And who can blame them?

I don't watch the news either because what's the point really?

The Media is a shill for the Corporations, and they'd rather cover Anna Nicole Smith than the fact that our President is overtly turning himself into a Dictator.

Hey, but we can always count on the Dems to bail us out.

Right?

I didn't watch it at all. I just can't go there with these people who prevaricate. Notice that Cheney on Larry King (saw a clip) didn't out and out lie...he also said the Mantra Du Jour...I don't recall. They think they will get away with this crap...and somehow probably will. But the blood pressure can't take it anymore...or I'll kill the TV.

That was a rhetorical question, right? Rove is ordered not to honor his subpoena, his aide spends his time trying to be funny, Rummy can't recall anything other than that there was no cover up. Yep, same old, same old.

It's all part of the Super Secret policy that Bush's cronies swore to uphold: The No Hablo Doctrine of '04.
Rumsfeld and Gonzo have been invoking the IDR protocol for committees. It clearly states in the 4th paragraph, subsection 3-14, 3-16, and 3-15, they must answer, "I don't recall" regardless of the circumstances lest they experience the wrath of W (sec 3-19).
Basically, it's a legal truthiness grenade lobbed at the American people.

Probably.

That hearing is a small part of todays dose of obvious lies I wrote about today. It is sickening knowing this entire Mis Administration is one big lie and cover up and we just have to listen it.
I wouldn't have taken that from my kids and we have to watch these children called politicians do it routinely. We are powerless to help ourselves as we watch these lying underhanded fools lie and sink us. I can only keep shaking my head!
