Does he have a point here?

"Sadr said Iraq was now in a state of civil war, but he said he would order his Mahdi army militia not to respond, the Journal of Turkish Weekly reported Monday.

The bombings destroyed street markets in the slum district of Sadr City which is a stronghold of Sadr supporters, JTW said.

Sadr said U.S.-led forces were responsible for letting the attacks happen but the government should maintain security."
(snip)

“Sadr also criticised Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld who had said last week that Iraqi troops, not U.S. forces, would intervene if civil war broke out in Iraq, JTW said.
"May God damn you," Sadr said of Rumsfeld. "You said in the past that civil war would break out if you were to withdraw, and now you say that in case of civil war you won't interfere."

I agree. Our whole bs about not pulling out was that a civil war would begin. Now it seems to have begun and we're not doing anything anyway. Might as well bring our troops home NOW.

Looks like Moqtada's spreading a meme here.

I wonder how many people would get arrested if they stood up at a Rumsfeld speech and shouted, "God damn you, Mr. Secretary."

Rumsfeld should have been fired a very, very long time ago. Who would have thought we would suffer through two McNamaras in such a short time??

Americablog characterized this as Sadr now learning what the rest of us learned quite a while ago.

You can't trust these f**kers further than you can throw them.

I am just getting so pissed off at all this fucking Bullshit!

Fuck Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld.

How much longer will we let them play with our lives, Iraqi lives, and our military as if it's just a game of Risk.

They will NEVER suffer any of the consequences from their actions unless We The People force it.

Will we let these criminals walk?

I said a long while back, "As Iraq goes, so too does Rummy." But now I heard a report today that he was in another country trying to sell arms to an evil dictator not unlike he did under Reagan to Saddam in Iraq? Holy, shit. Sadr is on the money here. Hypocrisy knows no bounds.
