Republican Desperation

Over the weekend I heard people on Fox asking if this god awful oil leak is President Obama’s Katrina. That has got to be one of if not the most desperate stupidest utterances I have heard since the President took office.

They are saying that because the President didn’t speak publicly about the leak until a week after the rig blew up that somehow that equates to bush having to be shown a video of the damages from Katrina before he got off his butt and went into some sort of action.

If it sounds ludicrous it must be coming from Fox News. If it sounds desperate it must be coming from Republicans. If it sounds rational it must be coming from neither.

good ol Rush Limbaugh is saying we should just leave it alone. It's completely natural just like the ocean and the ocean will clean itself up. I wonder if he will feel the same way when the oil washes up on Palm Beach?

Mr. PoP must be sick (or sicker than the rest of us) knowing so well how fragile the ecosystem is.

Water is nature and oil is nature, so Rush got that much right. What isn't nature is the silly little termites who drill down through the water to get to the oil, which nature usually does a pretty god job of keeping separate.

Unfortunately, even many of the self-styled liberals and progressives are calling this "Obama's Katrina". These would be the same folks who complained that 3 months into his presidency he hadn't yet gotten EFCA and HCR passed and DADT repealed and the budget balanced and all the jobs back.

These would be the "Progressives" who seriously need a kick in the arse, as they are aiding and abetting the CONservatives with their hand-wringing.

I figure that if President Obama has managed to pi** off both the right and the far left - he's doing fairly well.

each time (insert favorite GOP ass, FOX ass, Tea Party ass) speaks, they show their ignorance and silliness. Well, at least that's my take. Others may disagree, but then they are just plain ridiculous.
