A real day from hell

Yesterday was the second part of our electrical repairs. This time the electric was off for five hours and it was hot outside, so opening windows would have just made it hotter. While the electric was off Martini got an upset stomach and was having lots of accidents. So in this hot house for five hours I was running around cleaning up little doggie accidents. You gotta be a deeply loving mistress to deal with that heat and that, how shall I say this, that smell of poo.

I think all the confusion of people going in and out just messed up Martini’s little stomach and routine. Plus, I’m sure the heat didn’t help him either. He seems fine this morning.

So ya think I enjoyed Happy Hour here at the Pop home last night? Oh yeah, I sure did!

Awww - poor lil' guy.
and even worse - Poor You!

I hope this means the repairs are all done now and you and Mr. P and the critters can stay cool and comfy and have lovely clean clothes!

These things always make air conditioner that much more appreciated. At least there was still ice for Happy Hour.

Good luck with all that stuff. I hope Martini is back to normal!

Our kitchen is outdated, our carpets are thrashed, the interior woodwork all needs painting, we have some kitchen and bathroom faucets that are about 80 years old, running, and unrepairable.

It was a great time for the appraiser to come by and look at the place as we attempt a refinance...

Our kitties weren't phased by the plumber trying to fix the faucets or by the appraiser wandering through the house.

Great picture of Fred a few posts back! We lost Mackie this week, he was just too old and wasting away too much to continue. But he went peacefully and it was his time.

I will be posting some pictures of five-month-old Phinny soon. Having Phinny and Zeva around have made the passing of Mac easier on the Snaves.

And yes, I agree: let's neuter the goobernor of S. Carolina! Cheers, Snave
