Doggie Update

I talked to the little dog’s foster mom on Monday. She said the vet had administered some meds for him and had given him some special food that is supposed to calm an upset stomach. Of course none of this had time to make a difference yet at that point.

Tuesday morning she emailed me to tell me that there had been no accidents during the night and there seemed to be some improvement. Thank goodness for sweet favors.

Hopefully by this coming weekend he will be able to come home to his forever home. We sure are looking forward to his arrival. We have a new doggie bed waiting for him along with a toy, a new leash, a new nylon harness and even a little block of stairs that will aid him when he wants to get on our bed. He’s just so little and our bed is just so high, I want to teach him the ease of using his little stairs.

This little dog has caused me to go a long way in stimulating our sluggish national economy. If everyone got a new little pet and went shopping for toys and supplies, the economy would bounce back in a heartbeat. Are you listening President Obama?

And be sure to get them from a shelter or rescue home. Here's hoping for a quick and gentle bonding with Fred the Cat!

Glad to hear that things are moving in a positive direction, but I think we should take your idea further. How about replacing all of Congress with pets? Think how fast things would move!

you're sure right about the economy. when Jake moved in with me, I gave a serious jolt to Florida's economy-- and have just kept helping it stay afloat ever since. :)

happy day! can't wait to see your newest addition -- and hope your two kids learn to love each other.

and, I'm in favor of Randall's suggestion. I'll bet both Jake and Fred would be much better Representatives than lots of em are.

PoP...it amazes me why this person just doesn't give you the dog anyway. I mean.. aren't you capable of getting the necessary care that dog needs? or is there some law in Florida that making it illegal to to sell or give an ailing animal? When we got Chester from the NSAL, he had lice and a respiratory infection, which with the help of NSAL, we were able to help him overcome. No matter. I hope it all works out for you. Fingers crossed.
