So, how did the debate go last night?

Should Michelle get out the tape measure to measure for new curtains in the white house or should Cindy call in her team of interior decorators for the same task?

I won't be at rest until the last vote is counted.

In terms of who won last night- Obama IMO, big time!

However, until it happens - well I remain optimistic but wary.

Don't trust these bastards is my mantra.

I don't think Michelle will bother with new curtains. She might order new mattresses, but seeing to a serviceable infrastructure is only practical. Those beautiful girls need and deserve comfort and support, especially while they're still growing.

you can predict exactly how the 'pundits' judged -- buchanan and scarborough thought grandpa joe was STUPENDOUS

an angry, cranky, nasty mean grandpa

Seemed like Obama was a bit off his game, but even with that handicap was able to trump an angry, twitchy, smirky McSame.

Obama could have phoned in and still won the day. McCain seemed to realize he was sitting next to the next POTUS and really resented being there.

The real winner was a RealĀ® American, Joe the Plumber.

depends on who you ask. pat buchanan thinks cindy should pick a mauve inaugural gown and everyone else thinks that obama's daughters will love their new bedroom :)

McNasty was in great form - mean, cranky, RUDE, and long winded.

Obama was eloquent.

It looks like Michelle and the girls will be decorating the White House in a few months. If Bush leaves it standing that is.

Do not have a TV so did not watch. I have read a lot of good books lately.

From what I hear McCain is on meltdown and Obama is looking good.

Like the McCain aide said, "It is like running against God."

I watched Disney Channel all night with the 6-year old. Mama had a girl's night out, so we watched Aladdin.

Off topic: Is Cheney in his last throes?

I don't think Obama was off his game at all. I think his patient, careful explanation of his plans was exactly what was needed to convince undecideds. That nasty sarcastic smirk of McCain's is worse (I never thought I would say it) than Bush's. What a major league prick!

Best debate of the three. Watching Mccains bushy old guy eyebrows furrow and dip with that glare of unbridled hatred just made my day. He is proving to be Obama's best booster.

That said, I echo or ditto or repeat what franiam said - I won't be comfortable until the last vote is cast.

I think no matter who wins, the new president should put Joe the Plumber on the White House staff!

Michelle O knows not to count her elections until they're stolen.

(wait, did that make any sense at all? Sorry, I was too busy toting up all the things McLoser knows how to do--save billions, win the war, balance the budget with a hatchet and a scalpel, etc.)

Obama is a man of great composure and infinite calm. I've never seen anything like it. McCain twitched and railed his way throughout. It was a great study of opposites in every way.
That said, I will not rest or fully exhale until this election is over and Obama becomes the President elect.

Me too, Robin - but I'm going one step further - I won't really relax at ALL until 1/21/09.

meanwhile, if only Joe the Plumber had seen this coming, he could have copyrighted his name and retired on the income.
too bad he didn't figure that out ahead of time.
