Happy New Year!

So far this one looks an awful lot like the last year. Hopefully, before it’s over this one will look much, much better.

I have never thought about making predictions but this year I want to make a few. I predict we will see the democrats acquiesce to bush at least one more time. I also predict that one of the Republican candidates will say something so off the wall that we’ll know that person is indeed as crazy as a freakin’ loon. (No offense to loons intended)

And finally, I predict my head will explode if I hear one more talking head on TV gaming the outcome of the Iowa caucus. The only thing I want to hear about it is the final results.

Okay, it’s your turn. Look into that crystal ball you keep in your freezer beside the ice cream and tell me what you see in our future.

i'm being very selfish - but my biggest hope is that no one i love dies this year. otherwise, i want a female president (and i also want a kitten).

I see corrections. Needed ones. There'll be some turbulence for a while, but things will buff out in the long run.

i see Margaret Hamilton...

oops wrong movie

i see continued capitulation on the part of Nancy -- she is a phony and a major disappointment

i will be an optimist here -- i see the country finally tired of people like James Dobson and tony Perkins telling us how to live our lives --- and the end to the grand Republican coalition.

My only prediction is that we will have new President elected this time next yea and that the light at the end of the tunnel will be something other than another train.

No predictions, just a wish for a good year to begin and a Democrat elected President. Not just any Democrat, a real one.

Happy New Year to you and Mr. PoP, and all your furry friends.

I see another staged attack like 911.
Another assassination of a leading American political figure. The American public cowering in fear and reacting in well practiced Pavlovian fashion like good little monkeys.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy and peaceful 2008, PoP, and to Fred and Mr. PoP also. I have no predictions, just some vaguely optimistic feelings about the primary process and the general election. I have a feeling (not a prediction ;) ) that the Congress will go heavily Democratic. Not sure that that will translate to Progressive, though.

JG.

Bulwinkle: Eeny meeny, chili beany, the spirits are about to speak...
Rocky: Are they friendly spirits?

How about a bad one then a good one? The bad one is couched more as a fear than a prediction; someone's going to fuck up and let off a nuke somewhere. The good one is that more people in the USA will shake off their blinders and react against the country's ruination by corporate looters and their enablers.

PoP - What I see is worrisome. I think I'll just smash my crystal ball.

Eek! I'm a glass half empty person now. When did that happen?

Happy New Year, POP, and I'm going to forego predictions because they're usually wrong! One thing's for sure, whatever you think might happen, it always turns out to be something you never expected.

I am Madam Z, remember, and I do have a crystal ball. I predict that February will have 29 days. I predict it will be cold in Canada for most of those 29 days. I predict that GWB will say something REALLY STUPID practically every single day in 2008 and every day after that, as long as he lives. Hmmmm...I see many other events coming into focus. I think I will post them on my blog.
