The Sun Sets on Another Year. Was it all Bad?

We all know what a god-awful year this has been politically and in so many other ways, natural and manmade, but it hasn’t been all bad I’ll bet. I know there were bright spots for me in my personal life.

So what were some of the good things that happened to you in your personal life in 2007?

I found a ten dollar bill earlier this year which I used to start up my blog, and now I'm raking in the dough!

Have a great first ten months of 2008. I can't vouch for the last two.

Happy New Year PoP!

Despite some challenges, 2007 has been my own best year ever.

I married my college sweetheart. That we graduated in 1979 should underscore the importance of that. Many years kept us apart, but coming back together was all good.

After 20 years, today is my last day of work at a Big Company. It is really good but it is also really scary. I am sticking with good for the most part!

I started blogging and doing all sorts of other writing. I have my blog, a blog for my parish and I blog on StreetProphets. After a lifetime of keeping a lid on my inner writer, she is out and about quite nicely now!

I turned 50 and I think it has been the greatest year yet!

Peace and good things to all! Thanks for your great blog PoP and for your support of mine with all the great comments!

I saw, met, and shook hands with one of my musical favorites, Mose Allison. Other than that, this was about the worst year ever.

The high watermark for me was the mini-vacation I took in Alexandria and Washington D.C. in September, checking out the Smithsonian exhibits and the various monuments. I'll be going back sometime next year to see some of the places I missed -- the Smithsonian is huge.

In a visit to D.C. in January, I got to meet my fisrt fellow bloggers face to face: DBK of Blanton's and Ashton's, and Liz, Red State Blues, and Jersey Cynic of Blondesense. A great time was had by all. So in spite of the politicians who infest that city, D.C. and 2007 mixed rather nicely.

Too bad there weren't more great developments to highlight...

i can't think of much good that occurred in 2007. wish i could help you out here, but it's hard to crow about perceived personal successes when so much of the world continues to suffer. i'm funny that way.

my little family struggles onward, hoping for better days ahead. for us and for everyone else. except bush and his ilk. i wish them only the worst of days-to-come. and THAT is putting it mildly.

i found a lot of new electronic/cyber friends -- and that is always good.

i turned 50 without much fanfare and i am still here in reasonable sane health......

i got a new kitchen and bathroom -- which in the scheme of things is not that big a deal -- but they are sure nice to look at.

the world didnt have a lot of pretty things in 2007 --- and it closed tragically in Pakistan. i hope that 2008 brings a lot more joy and peace to you POP, to your electronic community, your readers and everyone else..

except George W. Bush -- i wish absolutely no joy in his miserable life.

Despite the constant barrage of horribleness from Various Sources, 2007 was for me a year of friends: First and most important, my Beloved Spouse, with whom I've shared 34 years of marriage; our son, who continues to improve as he travels into his twenties; my climbing buddies, mostly women and all wonderful; my swell neighborhood friends; old firends, with whom we are reconnecting after some years of not connecting; and many people out on the internets.
A Better New year to us all!

I met lots of great people on the blogs which made it easier to get through the really bad days of Bush/Cheney.

I'm also happy and blessed to have four great kids and three wonderful grandchildren...oh, and the best dog in the whole universe.

Happy New Year!

I started my blog and met all y'all! That has to be on the plus side.

I found a second teaching gig that looks fairly stable for the time being.

Given enough time, I'm sure I could come up with another positive development.

Then again, given enough time, coal turns into diamonds.

After being diagnosed with throat cancer in December 2006 I had very effective X-Ray and Chemo Therapies the first two months of 2007. These were so effective that when the ENT specialist looked for recurrence at one of the original sites on my tonsil she couldn't even find the tonsil. The therapies were very effective -- there's been no evidence of recurrence.

Hello everyone!
I would like to burn a theme at here. There is such a nicey, called HYIP, or High Yield Investment Program. It reminds of ponzy-like structure, but in rare cases one may happen to meet a company that really pays up to 2% daily not on invested money, but from real profits.

For quite a long time, I earn money with the help of these programs.
I'm with no money problems now, but there are heights that must be conquered . I make 2G daily, and I started with funny 500 bucks.
Right now, I'm very close at catching at last a guaranteed variant to make a sharp rise . Visit my blog to get additional info.

It gets down to choose a correct partner who utilizes your money in a right way - that is incorporate it in real business, parts and divides the profit with me.

You may ask, if there are such firms? I have to tell the truth, YES, there are. Please be informed of one of them:
