Someone ‘splain this to me

Immunity for telecoms?
Immunity for Blackwater?
Why would so many need immunity if no one did anything wrong?

Halloween Update.
Due to rain last night we had a total of five trick or treaters. As a result, I am stuck with a ton-o-candy. Bummer!

before long the ENTIRE bush administration will be granted immunity -- even Jenna and not-Jenna

send the candy to my office --- the vultures will eat if before it hits the table.

We had three.

THREE.

I was prepared for 300.

Kind of.

Ugh.

Immunity is stupid. Who invented it? He ought to be stuffed to the gills with leftover Halloween candy and roasted on a spit.

A woman would NEVER invent something as stupid as immunity.

Sorry you got rained out but just throw all the candy in the freezer for next year.

Immunity is a symptom of power corrupt leaders.

Too bad about the candy. too bad you can't get a refund.

I've been trying to leave a witty "immunity" comment but I seem to have left my brain at home this morning.

Preemptive exoneration, sort of like a Get Out Of Jail Free Card you can keep in your wallet.

For the same reason BushCo refuses to release all those emails and documents despite their claim that they've done nothing wrong--because they're LYING.

I agree with D-Cap; pretty soon we'll get pre-emptive pardons for all the BushCo people. But of course NOT because they've done ANYTHING wrong. Because they'd NEVER do anything wrong, because they're god-fearing PATRIOTS!

Life lines must be converging. We had beautiful weather and I had exactly five trick-or-treaters. Plus today is flu shot day in my office. If I get in the elevator the doors may open in Sedona.

Alas, only two stars on my horoscope and going back to bed was not an option.

Dammit. Someone already beat me to the Jenna/Not-Jenna/Patriot stuff. Um, immunity is only good when it comes to flu shots. How's that for grade-Z snark.

Extra candy is a terrible thing because you're all but forced to chow down lest the feeling of having wasted cash brings you down even further. Though I suppose you could put some needles and razor blades in it and send the batch to the White House.

I think retroactive immunity creates an absurd legal precedence. It would be like the supreme court giving Bush the presidency and then saying their legal ruling only applies to this particular case. Law does not work that way. I hate this administration.

No need to worry, we will be under Martial Law before long while the guilty go free.

We need immunity from stupidity, arrogance, corruption, treason, war and from anyone named Bush.

The saddest part about the all the immunity is that it absolutely did not surprise me. I expected it. I expect even worse in the remaining 14.5 months of this administration.

We didn't have many trick or treaters either. I'm blaming it on the DST not-change. It didn't get dark here until 7:00.

if we promise immunity to the entire administration will they all just leave?

if so, i'm for it. just pack their crap and go.

it would be better for everyone in the long run.

on a holloween note:

we had beautiful weather. last year it poured and was freezing cold. this year we all went over to pudd'n boy's house and handed out candy there cause there are a ton of kids in his neighborhood, none in mine.

it was really neat.

Immunity! Now that's scary!

We only had five as well. What's up with these lazy kids today anyway?

Patricia, you're absolutely right. There is no need for immunity if innocent.
