Growing Squirrels

Plant a peanut in a flower pot and grow your very own squirrel.

Some bloggers are posting pictures of their beautiful vegetable gardens. Sure, anyone can grow tomatoes, but can they grow squirrels? I wanted you to see my hanging basket squirrel garden. Seems to be coming along nicely, don’t you think?

Love the shot and idea, lol.

However, it sure is a pain to keep those squirrels out of bird feeders.

I use safflower seed in my bird feeder. The squirrels won't eat it.

PoP that is a very healthy looking squirrel!

Look at that fluffy tail, ready to burst into new blooms! A rare and funny little plant found only in the wilds. Must put one in my next bouquet.

So these squirrels will then defend your vegetable garden from other predatory pests? Interesting strategy.

Do you have any leftover squirrel seeds you could send me? I'd like to grow a couple of those myself.

How often do they have to be watered?

VERY cute, BUT some friends of mine would shoot you and your idea. I have one friend who actually has squirrel wars at his house. He plants bulbs and the squirrels just love them. dig em up and eat em.
My grandson just looked at your pic and wanted the directions sent with his squirrel seeds. LOL

Our newly turned over backyard garden plot is attracting everything, all kinds of birds going for the grub gold, cats, well, you can figure out why they like that soft nice dirt, and squirrels, which I guess are looking for nuts. I'm not much of a squirrel fan, but that is a very cute photo.

Why yes, I do believe it is coming along nicely. I'm with Pursey and U.L. Way to go and what kind of fertilizer do you use? Keep up the good work!

Don't have a garden, but we have squirrels. And crows. And hawks, raccoons, and the occasional skunk. And plenty of small birds. The only nuts I see, though, are some of the people who live around here. And none of them will fit in a pot...

I seem to be growing cats in all my pots! Everytime I look outside-there is a different cat sitting in a freshly dug up flower pot.
