Father Nature?

I found this mushroom growing in my backyard under the hedge. I believe its common name is “Stink Horn”.

I think this might be a good morning and a good day for something light hearted. So you are invited to caption the picture if you like.

Happy 2007!
From my point of view, 2007 looks a hell of a lot like 2006. Let’s hope there is major improvement as this year rolls on.

Postscript
It would appear that my Dallas Cowboys have perfected the art of sucking. They’ve got some great talent but now, late in the season, they do not appear to be able to get their fecal matter together.

RE: the 'Boys -- Romo almost made it over the line. Well, at least they don't suck as badly as the Bucs. Question: Gruden -- staying or going?

Sorry about the Cowboys. Good luck with your new coach, since given Parcells track record I'd expect him to resign in a week or two. And have a safe and Happy New Year!

I dont' know what they do over on your side of the coast, but over here, whenever we see one of those, this is the routine: Everyone strips off their clothes and performs a fertility dance. Then we all ride to the police station. Fun times on the Gulf Coast! Happy New Year.

"Practicing viagriculture at the POP homestead?"

If it really is a stinkhorn, prepare for the smell of rotting flesh. They earn their name honestly.

Thanks for POPing in the other day - haven't been around much myself, but today is a new year... indeed, it is. I, for one, am looking forward to many, many departures from 2006. Seven, after all, is a lucky number!
