Computer FUBAR

I'm typing this from a secure undisclosed location because my own computer is FUBAR. It refuses to go online. No clue why.

Don't know how soon I'll get this baby fixed so that I may post again, but hang in there with me, I'll be back. Hopefully this problem is geek fixable and soon.

Nothing quite ruins your day like a F-ed up computer, right?

Hope your holiday weekend is going well and I'll see you again just as soon as I can.

My computer was freezing up on me while I was at WRH, but since visiting here, it was miraculously cured. Nothing's more annoying that computer problems, unless it's a Hannity/Coulter love fest on Fox.

Don't you hate it when the computer decides IT needs a holiday? Good luck, hope you can patch things back together!

Undisclosed location? Please take care of yourself and stay away from Darth Cheney's suite there; I hear that he likes to feed on Sundays.

A lightning storm fried my modem card about two weeks ago, and I'm very glad that it didn't do anything else to the system. But for a while I was blogging from Elsewhere.

Must be a Labor Day work stoppage, as in "it's Labor Day weekend, so I ain't workin'"... and it isn't...

This is happening all over Blogger. People are having a hard time getting to my page or making comments. It might just be a coincidence...or maybe the Feds are on to us. Something is up for sure.

blogger sucks butt sometimes, but internet connection problems can also be infuriating. in a moment of shameless blogwhoring i offer Scene From El Rancho Harpo (on the road edition) where April, Cindy the fiddler, and I shamelessly play act a scene from the movie Tombstone. . .

I'm having trouble leaving comments at Nick's and a few other blog sites. The comment page there looks different than at other blogs and I just get an error message.

I've been avoiding going to a high speed connection, but I may have to, modems are too slow for some things anymore.

You might be having the same problem I had a few days ago, your modem might be out. Are you on dial up? If you are, and this problem persists, that's probably what it is. Lightning might have come through your phone line and knocked it out. That's what happenned to me and a bunch of other people in my area. Luckily, it's relatively easy and inexpensive to fix.

By the way, to the people that are having trouble leaving comments on other peoples blogs-check and see if they might be on the new Blogger Beta. It has't got all the bugs ironed out yet, and one of the problems with it is leaving comments, or receiving them.

Pagan temple: Google (read blogger and much more) are in a permanent state of beta. That is much of the problem; the rest of it being Google/Blogger doesn't really give a shit....they're too busy cracking down on Chinese who want freedom of speech. Having said that: it is free, and there are no ropes tying me down here......

i am beginning to sense a vast right wing conspiracy here- as many of my fellow bloggers are experiencing similar problems with defunct computers. i smell something fishy here. :) hope you get it fixed.

You're the first person outside the military I've seen use that expression. It certainly says it all.

The only thing as annoying as computer problems are car problems. Hope you're back up and running shortly.

Looks like your techno problems are miraculously fixed now, but I sympathize anyway. I had to take my computer in recently & was without it for a week. It's hell to cut that umbilical cord!
