Punishment

If for some magical reason the bush administration is tried and found guilty of all their sins, there should be an appropriate punishment. I do not believe in capital punishment, so that’s out. I also find just lounging around in a federal prison insufficient. I do have one suggestion.

Put george bush in a room and bring in little kids. These little kids are those who have lost someone in the war in Iraq, someone they loved very much. He first should be forced to listen to each child as he or she tells him about the lost loved one and what it means to their life. Stories like how they miss daddy and the things daddy used to do with them. Then bush must confess to each of these children individually what he did in order to get this war started and what he didn’t do to protect the person they loved so much. He should have to look into those little tear stained faces and tell them the truth and he also must apologize to each one of them.

He should have to hear the children’s sobs and see their broken hearts. Their sobbing should be recorded and played aloud in his cell every night while he tries to sleep. Photos of the crying children should be placed permanently on all the walls of his cell so he can never avoid seeing them.

He should forever be reminded of what he has done and he should never be free of the anguish he has caused. No one can change the past, and he should never be allowed to forget it or rid himself of the heartbreak his actions have caused.

And not just the children in this country although that alone would be heartrending. All of them, every single child, partner, parent.

If sobbing children had an effect on him at all, he wouldn't be doing what he's doing.

Here's my plan. For violating the Nuremberg Principles if nothing else.

My belief system has changed in the past 5 or 6 years. Normally, before that time, I would have agreed, and added more discomfort and pain besides.I would like to shake him silly and tell him of the horror he has created from his abuse of power as he attempts to be a world leader.

No, now I would forgive. I would pray for peace in the hearts of the people who suffer from the actions of this subject of the Creator.

For the fighting and hatred stop and cease to exist even when one side decides not fight and hate any longer.

It is hard for me to stay this course while this coward and his administration order death and destruction, but I will not allow myself to be anything like him.

You and I would probably be very upset to see or hear of any truama we have had on families, he wouldn't. I don't believe he is capable of that depth of feeling. I do feel he and the rest of his gang should be stripped of any wealth and that money should directly benefit survivors of all the Bushco disasters.

Aw Rose! I wouldn't punish Flavor Flav that way, being a Public Enemy fan as I am..

But I agree, he wouldn't be moved because if he was he wouldn't do the things they all do..

Hope you had a good weekend, I took a break from bloggery for a bit. But of course I'm back.

PoP

He has no feelings he is a cold heartless individual. I would go after what he does have interest in..... wealth.

Everyday I would give away his wealth. Slowly and publicly.

One million here for this after school program.

One million there for a planned parenthood program.

200,000 to to a city park so they can expand programs.

Five million to the think tank whos goal is to reign in faith based groups.

Another five million to the think tank who will plot the demised of tax exempt status for the Falwell's and Robertson's in the world.

Don't spend it all today but slowly day after day week after week month after month year after year.

George would get an allotment of $18,000 a year, no health care, no education (or wait he already wasted that), a nine to five job that's real work for the $18,000.

And this time no mood altering drugs. Face the world georgie like everyone else.

On weekends we would send him to national parks to cut real brush and clean the facilities.

Summer vacations would be cleaning up the latest oil spills. Which should really irk him because he only has a three speed bike with no brakes and a slow leak for transportation.

His living quarters would be a cinder block room with Air America, Ed Schultz and the Daily Show piped in.

At 80 when his social security kicks in he will have to make a choice medicines or food.

For those wondering about Laura she would have left him years ago when the sentence was first handed down.

And for the twins without money they might become real people.

As for his presidental library. I say lets build it and fill it with the thousand of books that will be written about this fail president.

Couldn't we just leave him in a room and have a line of people outside the door waiting to punch his lights out? That ought to take at least the rest of his life...

Unfortunately, I found aflaw in your plan.

In order for this plan to work that guy has at least got to have a soul.

I think having him live a day a month in Iraq undercover would be the way to go.

It's so weird how I was rethinking his punishment just about an hour ago. Our ideas are have so much in common I think I found my twin.
I was gonna post the question at my site but I'll just direct people here if that's okay?

As I have written before, My punishment would be to put him in a cell where all the walls, the ceiling, and the floor had video screens depicting stills and video of the carnage he has wrought. The audio shall be the screams, cries and wails of grief expressed by his victims at the funerals and such. 24 hours a day.
'cept Sundays. He gets to hear the New Testement read to him by sweet gentle voices. Like Grandma or Mom.

I believe everybody can be redeemed. Doesn't mean we have to let him out ever. Some people should never be trusted again. When he dies he gets buried at sea. No grave for his sick followers to worship at.

I would also like to put you on my "Friendly" link list if I may?

Peace.

As much as that would be just punishment for someone so sinister and cruel... I think he's so desentitized and warped, he has to be "broken" for this to get too him. First we put him in the cell and take all of his money, but give him his bank book with the zero balance. On the other side of his bars, just out of reach, have a fully stocked bar and some lines of coke, but don't let him have a single drop or snort... and only let him read his bad press and bad entries about himself in history books. Have Michael Moore movies and 9/11 movies and videos on loops. After he's finally broken, the kids get brought in... then he will be able to get the punishment he really deserves.

If you believe that the penal system is in place to correct and rehabilite those who have wronged, it's not the place for W and the whole of the W, Rove and Co. They are beyond rehabilitation. I like the idea of dumping them off with nary a dime in Iraq and letting the Iraqi's serve them justice how they see fit.

He should be made to ride his bike down a hill & fall over, injuring his head, then he has to do it again & again & again, Sisyphus in reverse. Punishment for the reversal of the American dream that he has wrought. & he doesn't get any of that health insurance stuff, either.

POP I think I have the perfect punishment. To start out, strip him of all his wealth, in perpetuity, including all his trust funds and any future inheritances, which should go jointly to the New orleans and Iraq reconstruction efforts.

Of course, then he will have to make a livng somehow, right? So, you force him to work the rest of his life as a gas station attendant at a full service gas station, checking oil, pumping gas, and cleaning windshields while everybody itches him out fo rthe high prices he is responsible for.

He should then have to take a second weekend job at a consvenience store/gas station-a CITGO.

And, to make sure somebody doesn't kill him, and thus destine him to live a long, full, hard life at this fate, he should be allowed only one perk his office usually allows-A Secret Service Guard detail who will not be allowed to assist him in any way whatsoever, other than protect him from physical (but not verbal) assaults.

On the other hand, if the entire truth were to ever come out about everything this guy has done as President, and how and why, you might change your mind about that death penalty thing.

I'm with others in believing he wouldn't be affected.

I like the idea of taking away his wealth and opportunity and giving it to those he's cared so little about his entire life.

I do, however, think Laura should be forced to stay with him. I'd like to see both of them trying to live on that $18K per year. Somehow I don't think she'd be as eager to be around him without his wealth.

The only way the West can be saved

It is among the evils, and perhaps is not the smallest, of democratical governments, that the people must feel, before they will see. When this happens, they are roused to action—hence it is that this form of government is so slow.—George Washington to Henry Knox, 8 March 1787.
The wages of sin is death, and the wages of long-standing indifference to the informing genius of a culture is—not just the death of the culture, but the pain and fright that attend death.—L. Brent Bozell, Mustard Seeds

I keep saying that the West must endure much more suffering and horror, many more surrenders and losses, before it will abandon its liberalism and start to defend itself from Islam—if it ever does. But no matter how many times I’ve said this, I realize I haven’t yet got to the core of the problem.
We must focus our attention on the fact that the key to this unfolding disaster is LIBERALISM. I am not speaking of liberalism in the classical sense, as constraints on the power of government, as free speech and free inquiry, as a single rule of law for all citizens, as individual rights. Nor I am not speaking of liberalism in the New Deal sense, as the use of government to correct imbalances in the economy. I am speaking of liberalism in its pure, modern sense, the sense in which it is most authoritative and active for us today—liberalism as non-discrimination, liberalism as non-judgmentalism, liberalism as the belief that individual rights and individual freedoms constitute the defining content of our society, the principle that rules all other principles. All of which comes down to the belief—for us, a sacred belief—that we must not define ourselves as a group, a collective whole, and therefore must not define any other group as fundamentally different from our group.

This is the belief that led the West to admit millions of unassimilable, hostile, and dangerous aliens into the West, and this is the belief that even now makes it impossible for Westerners to think critical thoughts about Islam as such, let alone to take effective action, or even imagine taking effective action, against it. In April 2001 I wrote an article called “America No Longer Exists,” by which I meant that America no longer sees itself as a nation, culture, and people, and therefore is unable to respond to obvious threats to itself as a nation, culture, and people. The same state of spiritual non-existence is much further advanced in Europe, especially Britain. Liberalism, by taking over the minds and hearts and souls of the Western peoples, has literally dissolved them as peoples. Having done so, it is now leading them to their political and civilizational destruction as well .

Now, what can turn this hideous situation around? There is only one thing that can do it: Westerners must feel the horror that liberalism has wrought. When they see their societies progressively taken over by Muslims, when they see Muslim sharia being implanted and enforced in more and more parts of their country, when they see Islam being taught in their children’s schools and promulgated in the mass media, when they see Muslim imams in the councils of state, when they hear the Muslims’ increasingly strident demands for every more Islamization, when they see Muslim razzias (a.k.a. riots and “random” murders) grow in intensity and audacity, when they see the government paralyzed even in the face of the most palpable crimes and threats, and when, most importantly, they feel the horror and despair and pain and humiliation of all this, and when, finally, they see that this situation was brought about by and is sustained by LIBERALISM, by the liberal belief that the acceptance of alien cultures is the highest virtue of society, then, only at that point, they will see that LIBERALISM, which they had imagined to be the fairest good, is the darkest and most disgusting evil, the smiling destroyer that has seduced them to their ruin. Then, and only then, will they be ready to repent of their liberalism and start defending themselves and their civilization.

I honestly think being inside himself will be enough to do the punishment trick. You think he is incapable of realizing his true self...I disagree. If he is impeached...he cannot hide from that...or the gazillions of books that will be written about all the foibles and machinations of the administration. He will be dishonored...and his ego will be deflated somewhere beneath the stones that pass for rocks of the ages. He'll know there is laughter somewhere out in space just waiting to be heard by the planets passing by. He already knows he is not even worth pond scum and nothing can make it better...not even his faith in an invisible God. He'll be forced to realize that his Mommy is probably going to spank his po po everyday until the twelfth of never for shaming her. Oh...no...our little Georgie is hoping beyond hope right now that when that day dawns...he will be able to control his very weak bowels and not unleash the hounds of hell around him.

I like the idea that we should take away Bush's wealth. Give him the opportunity to "reinvent" himself without any help from family or friends. Make him live in a trailer park somewhere on minimum wage, make him pay his own rent and utilities, and deny him government handouts. No foodstamps, heating assistance, Medicaid, etc. Take away his MBA too. If he wants to get a higher education, let him take out student loans and work his way through school.
