Highway Robbery?

Here’s a nifty site that can help a bit. Just type in your zip code and it’ll tell you where to find the least expensive gasoline in your area. Last time Mr. Pop filled up it cost him $3.05 per gallon for mid range gas. By the way, that was over a week ago.

Our lowest, a couple of blocks from my son's house was 2.65. I may check it out. My usual economy station is up to 2.87 and counting.

Thanks for the tip.

I try and buy at Citgo. This oil company IS NOT own by a U.S. company (read as Bush/ Cheney). It is owned by the Venezuelan people. So when you buy there your NOT making Bush / Cheney richer. And that is a good thing.

Station Locator to find a Citgo station near you.)

The only thing about CITGO is I think they might ave to pretty much charge the same prices as their compeitors or risk being charged with unfair competition. I might be wrong about that, and I've never actualy heard that stated, but Ihave noticed that when gas prices in my area were at their highest in the aftermath of the Gulf storms, CITGO charged the same prices as BP and all the others.

Otherwise, Shutterwi makes a real good point.

Your right the prices will be the same give or take. But you get to choose who gets the dollars. My choice is not to give them to Bush / Cheney

so you choose to support terrorism against the united states interesting

BTW all gas comes from the same local refinery, tankers transport fuel to the stations some additives are mixed giving it a company name brand, but all gas is the same

the name fits. I do not think Hugo Chavez is a danger to America. He is, clearly, a danger to Bu$hCo/Cheney. You didn't see them offering less expensive heating oil like Chavez did, did you? Keep your spurious, smearing accusations to yourself. Oh, & keep off the kool-aid, it rots your teeth.

When it comes to gas, the price paid goes well (so to speak) beyond the number on the pump. We get our gas at CITGO and don't bother comparing it to the price on Exxon's pumps.

Reducing consumption is still the best bet, if you can pull it off. We moved to within 3 miles of my workplace 12 years ago; that, more than any fuel efficiency improvements, will cut your consumption to a minimum. Even so, I got a Prius a little over a year ago to reduce it further: slightly under 5000 miles at slightly over 50 mpg of mostly CITGO gas... it probably made shit for difference to Exxon's CEO, but it made me feel better.

Well said, coldh2o. Notice the minute anyone brings up something negative about the Bush administration, his supporters immediately sling the "unpatriotic" or "terrorist-loving" mud. Lucky for us, mud comes off in the wash--scandal and law-breaking don't.
