Why Cheer for Executions?

I watched the Republican presidential debate on MSNBC last night and my biggest OMG moment was when the audience clapped and cheered after the moderator spoke of the number of people executed in the state of Texas under Governor Perry. Why in the world would anyone cheer for something like that?

Because it would cut off all those lazy goldbrickers getting entitlements?

And then they shouted their "yea" for letting an uninsured 30 year old die of pneumonia. We're looking at a very demented right wing.

Bread and circuses for the masses. Still, I wonder how many of them would've cheered had the camera focused on their faces and included a little caption with their names. It's easy to do their little over-the-top teabagging when they're anonymous.

I believe in captial punishment...you kill, be executed. You rape, be executed. You molest a child, be executed.

Pretty simple.
