I had no idea how sick I was
After my last post here I found out I was a whole lot sicker than I imagined
Yeah, back in July I knew things were not right with my health but I had no idea how bad they were. My doctor sent me for a CT-scan and with the help of an amazing surgeon they saw that my digestive system was not at all functioning as it should. Lots of things were going wrong.
The surgeon called us in the early evening of one Thursday, sent me to the hospital and scheduled me for surgery the following Friday morning. After three hours of surgery it was wait and see time.
Happily everything went well and all parts were in working order again. Total recovery will take a couple of more months but so far it’s all good. The surgeon said because the damage was slowly happening over maybe as long as a year, when things finally do get back to normal, I will feel “a thousand times better than I have in a long long time”.
So during my first time at the hospital other than as a visitor, I learned that it is true that the food there is horrific and also that there is no place like home.
Mr. Pop and Martini were so happy to have me back home after eight days of being away. I do believe Martini felt he was in charge of taking care of me after I came home. Any time I called to Mr. Pop to help me with something, Martini would bark as if to tell Mr. Pop we needed his help pronto.
All is well that ends well and so far this experience is ending very well.
