My Frig Door
Here’s what’s playing on my refrigerator door right now and it will be there for some time to come. The bumper sticker is not attached, it’s being held there with magnets.
When I come into the kitchen each morning and see that little display, it always makes me smile. Since we voted last week, the little “I voted early” sticker is the latest addition to the group.
One more week to go. Can you stand it? A week from tomorrow we should know who the next president of the United States will be. It’s like waiting for Christmas morning and not knowing if Santa is going to bring you a new bike or a bag of coal.

Didja catch his speech yesterday? Very inspirational.
i will be so glad when this is over and we wont hear a peep from Palin or Mccain for awhile at least
i also cannot wait to gloat to some people (fingers crossed)
I know about the waiting part. Gloomy old Larry David said it's like waiting for the results of a biopsy, and I think that's a pretty good analogy.
Congrats on voting! I voted early by mail as well.
I am not sure I can survive another disappointment like 2000. I am just closing my eyes until next Wednesday.
There are a few Obama supports in my office, too, and I can't wait to ask them if they're prepared to pay higher taxes. Heh. And hey, PoP, unless something completely sinister happens next week, I'm guessing you'll be getting that bike.
Brava! And I agree with Spartacus about the bike! (and many other things!!)
i am allegedly supposed to be getting a car magnet in the mail as i donated. i may get it for after the election :) good for you!
Don't give up hope, betmo. It took a while for me to get my t-shirt, but it finally did show up.
As long as it's clean coal!
I have my "Obama08" and my "No Third Term. Vote Change. Vote Democrat" bumper stickers up on my cork board at work. It allows the right wingers I work with to know where I stand and the few lefties to talk politics with me.
Plus, I'm proud to be part of this historical election.
One More Week! I'm not sure my heart can take it.
i'm in knots. i just can't wait!
The anticipation is killing me!
We're all counting the days, Pop. The few Obama fans at work just give each other a grim smile every time we pass in the halls, and give the countdown--"one more week." A friend told me that absentee ballots are showing an Obama landslide, but I don't know where she heard that.
Fingers and toes are crossed, and my faith is in the good side of this universe.
Kind of looks like mine except for the bumperstick I have with a rebel flag and the words "You lost. Get over it."
Hope we get a real president this time instead of yet another King from the Bush dynasty!

Ugh! Ugh! What an awful comment from Anonymous!
As for your post, I like the way you said it! A new bike or a bag of coal. Indeed!
