What have you done for us lately?

By now you have heard that Ralph Nader has tossed his hat in the ring to run for president this year. My question is, what has he accomplished since 2000?

The man is mentally ill. He must be. He seems desperate for attention. I just wish he would go away. I want to punch him every time I see a picture of him.

He is mentally ill and self obsessed and thoughtless.

Sadly there are a number of people who will find this compelling and they will vote for him.

Needless to say, that number will not likely come from the McCain camp.

This ticks me off. He needs a giant cup of STFU!

Nader. Give up or choose a party.

Competence will never win the election.

the guys does NOTHING for years and then finds the inner Ralph to help the country every 4 years -- well F you Ralph....

like Hillary and McCain -- it is all about Ralph....not the country

if he cared to help and do the right thing he would do something other than hide for 4 years

He only got .3% of the vote in 2004. I can't imagine he will do much better against the probable candidates.
To answer your question...nothing, no grassroots, no organization, no advocacy, nothing.

My husband used to have a Pinto--and he actually liked it. He never forgave Ralph for bringing the Pinto down. ;-)

You've all echoed what I've been thinking. I might have to put him in the AA election next month.

Unfortunately, in your country, Ralph Nader - and anyone else for that matter - has the right to run for President. That's why it's called a democracy. Telling him to shut up goes against everything your country stands for. Having said that, doesn't the man have any sense? Is he not aware of what a devastating effect his last candidacy had on your country? You don't have a strong Democratic candidate, unfortunately, and Obama and Clinton's battle royale with each other is making both of them like weaker and weaker each day. Why is it that the Democrats cannot elect a strong candidate?

Unfortunately, it looks as if you folks had better get used to saying "President McCain, President McCain".

*sigh*

Other than mess up every election he has entered, I can't think of a single thing.

Is he running on the Pain In The Ass platform?

you would think that someone half as smart as nader is reported to be would realize that not only have his previous runs for the office not advanced his adgenda a single step they have had counterproductive impact.

maybe he's too bleedin' smart for our own good.

Yeah, I read about this. Makes me wonder what candidates' votes he plans on taking away?

I think he just wants the attention.

I use to respect him until his ego became his guide. his accomplishments are numerous but besides screwing the country and establishing a couple new foundations of late I would say he is done. He will be a non entity thid time!

He's made a concerted effort to be the national scold. Which is why he's never married.

But he's easy to handle. Give him a shopping cart and he'll be able to yell at people on the street and make children cry, which is the same impact he has on national politics.

I can't imagine him having much of an impact on votes this time 'round. I actually agree with Ralph on many issues, but our system does not allow a 3rd party any serious consideration unless they are polling above 30%. Ask Perot, who handed Bill Clinton the presidency. I doubt Nader will be included in the general election debates either, which is kind of sad since he might force the REAL candidates to address issues they like to avoid. All without stealing any votes, of course.

there was a time when he did some pretty good stuff. since he turned his attention to ruining the country, tho, he's undone anything he once accomplished.
