Fred the Cat’s new assignment

I know by now you guys have heard what happened at the Pop house this week. Mr. Pop and Pop have been pretty quiet. They’re sad. I’m sad too, but I, Fred the Cat, have a new job to do. I must assume the responsibility of being the new four pawed, man of the house. I have moved up in seniority.

It is my responsibility to take care of anyone weeping. I must love them, allow tears to fall on my fur, and most importantly, I must listen to what they have to say. I think I’ll be good at the job, after all, I learned from the best, Murphy. He knew just how to do these things and he was the king of compassion.

I’m gonna miss the little dude. I used to run up to him and smooch him right on his snowy white fur. It was such fun for me, didn’t seem to be as much fun for him though. But let’s remember, he was a canine. Canines have their own sense of humor most of the time.

So I accept my new responsibility with honor. I’m fired up! Ready to go! Can I bring happiness back to our home? Yes I can!

Have a wonderful weekend and hug your buddies every single day.

Sincerely,
Fred the Cat (the cat who loves you guys)

You are filled with love, compassion and wisdom... which is what PoP and Mr PoP need right now.

Murphy has taught you well and his canine light lives on in your feline heart Fred.

Get out there and love them!

Fred, with your new found responsibility, you should get a raise. Maybe you should suggest an extra bag of catnip, or maybe some real tuna fish in your food once a week. After all...you're doing the work of eight paws with only four...it's only fair. Just sayin'...

Hang in there POP and Mr.POP. I'm glad you have Fred to help you through this.

Way to rise to the challenge, Fred. You take care of PoP and Mr. PoP, and of your sweet self. Ask PoP to give you a little pinch o' the 'nip for me, okay?

Yeah Fred will do the trick! A lot of people don't realize the stress surviving pets feel. They are often lost too. Little Bill who you may know expressed it well as she is uniquely outfitted to do.

PoP...

I am truly sorry for your loss. I had to put my cat David to sleep and it broke my heart.

His lungs were the size of peas when I let him go. He was always there for me in good times and bad and even today I miss him dearly.

It is over twenty five years and it still seems like it was yesterday.

I will say a pray for you, Mr. Pop and Murphy.

Take care and...

God Bless.

Oh man... I'm glad the Pops have got you with them, Fred. Losing such a pal is one of things that'll bring ya Way Down and, while feeling through is good and necessary, getting back to Life and its wonders (such as new Gardenias {-; ) is made easier by friends like you.

Lotsa Love too all y'all.
