More Doubtful Everyday

I was never one to give serious consideration to the government being involved in the events of September 11, 2001. It was beyond my comprehension that any administration of the United States would act in such a way. This is America.

Yes, yes, I know that the settlers who arrived on these shores massacred the real Native Americans. I know slaves were brought to this country and treated in the most vile way. I know it took way too long to end slavery and even longer to give African Americans their equal rights. I know our country has made hideous mistakes in the past, but I thought we were learning as we went along, just as I think most believed we had learned a lesson as the result of our military involvement in Vietnam.

I remember President Clinton saying we would build a bridge to the twenty-first century. It sounded so positive and so right. Well, here we are in that twenty-first century and somebody blew up the bridge.

We aren’t committing crimes, but we are watching crimes being committed. Our government is manipulating the truth at every turn. When did that manipulation begin? Was it born after the attacks of 9-11?

Did those attacks on September 11, 2001, change everything? Or had things already changed? Sometimes I wonder about things that would never have crossed my mind only five years ago.

the history of this sort of thing comes from before america. there have always been imperialists. the romans, the greeks, the mongols, the soviet union, the british empire, the french, the spanish.

the american empire currently operates the same way, it just has more technology at its disposal.

unless there is major public involvement and major social change the cycle will continue - and china is next up to the plate. everyone knows this - why do you think the (corporate) hand of friendship is being extended to that regime?

find about about the project for the new american century, project paperclip, project troy to name but three.

the information is there - don't take my word for it, it is just a google away.

if you want to scare the shit out of yourself try a search on strategic communications laboratories

Michael, I followed your advice and the leads you provided. You are absolutely right, the strategic communications labs, did scare the hell out of me. First I went to their site and then I went to

Fear is now a tool openly and unabashedly used be our government to a degree never seen before 911. That's what has changed. That is what we must focus on resisting.

I try to be cautious about conspiracy theories, but often find myself fascinated by them.
One of the really interesting 9/11 stories is 7World Trade Center, the third building that went down in New York on September 11. There's a FEMA report on why this neighboring 47 story building collapsed that day, but it's even by FEMA's admission both speculative and unlikely (no steel skyskraper had collapsed from fire in NYC before).

I read through the FEMA report and it's genuinely strange. No one ever mentions this 3rd building. The conspiracy folk are big on the tenants of 7 World Trade Center because they include several key government agencies including the CIA. I have no idea, but there are many odd things about 9/11 itself.
I still say the biggest proof that something's odd is how little the Administration has actually done to hunt down Bin Laden.

I so understand how you feel. I didn't, couldn't believe it until recently. But then I began asking myself if I trusted the witnesses who were there when it happened, or do I trust our government? (Easy anwer there.) Then I thought about Iraq... Bush didn't seem to mind killing a bunch of innocent Iraqis to get Saddam. He doesn't get choked up when he talked about our dead soldiers. He's desesitized, and I don't trust his motives or anything that comes out of his mouth.

Here's a piece that someone put a lot of effort into. The facts here will speak for themselves. Here are many answers to the World Trade collapse AND the Pentagon explosions.

I too didn't want to believe what I thought to be impossible about 9/11... that our own powers that be could or would resort to killing people on that scale just to fool us into getting into the middle east politics...and oil of course. It just doesn't seem feasible that...that many people could be involved in pulling it off and keep it quiet. Yet things do not measure up. I hope it comes out in my lifetime...the truth I mean. And I want them to burn for it.
