Wiretapping Florida Style

Seems the NSA has been using Ibis to listen in on phone conversations in Florida. As seen here, two listen to the conversations passing through the wires while a third stands watch to guard against any pesky Liberals who might want to try to enforce their right to privacy.

While other states may have human beings as NSA agents, Gov. Jeb Bush, while keeping with his family’s tradition, felt it appropriate to give Florida residents the bird.

Why, that sneaky Jeb Bush. One minute he's asking Katherine "Look at my BOOBS!" Harris to step aside, and the next minute he's siccing birds on us.

I enjoyed his stance on the immigration flap, since his wife is (I think) Hispanic. He said that the current tenor of the debate wasn't helping the situation at all. One of his "good friends" who is a Congresscritter in Arizona chided Jebbie for "missing the point."

Some days it doesn't pay to be the Smarter Bush Brother.

Nice job, PoP. I got a good laugh and an education on Florida wildlife.

Your birds are obviously very alert to any nefarious activities that might be surging under their toes, but they reminded me of another set of less patriotic birds that I saw and wrote about:

Woodland Hills 6:00 a.m.
Even the birds sleep in,
Heads tucked under wings.
City dwellers on a high wire
Waiting for a wake up call
Once the haze burns off.

Jeez, is that how bad the budget situation is?

Walt, I wonder if Jeb would feel differently about immigration if his wife wasn't an immigrant from a nation being targeted by the current legislation proposal?

Seems to me that they only care about issues that directly affect their family.

Love your bird photos and the take on them.

Thanks for your comment on isamericaburning.

Our utility bills are sky high no matter how hard I try to keep them down. We're on fixed income (just skating in high enough so we don't qualify for much assistance) and with a family of 6 we barely make it.

Oh no! I have a gang of those in my yard right now. I thought they were cleaning up the bugs, but they are the bugs. Probably taping into the internet cable.

Rich if they are kicking back and having bird beers, they are probably off duty. But keep an eye on the egrets, sometimes they fill in for the Ibis.

No ibises around here. But we have murders and murders of crows. And when something stinks to high heaven, they let the whole community know. Every mocker hates crows with a passion, but even we recognize the civic duty they serve...

Wow, a comment from Cairo. How are you, Cairo? Haven't heard from you in so very long. Here, let me pat your little head and scratch your ears for you. I'd kiss you on the nose but you probably wouldn't like that. I guess you're getting to be too big a pup now for that foolishness.

Wow! You live somewhere that a group of Ibis can sun themselves on a telephone line. How cool is that! Ah, my dear - I do envy you. Such interesting creatures. Do you ever get any of the scarlet Ibis? I understand they are more common in Central and South America; but who knows - they just might fly a bit farther north. Fascinating!
