Gin

Her name will be Ginny but we’ll call her Gin, now all I have to do is find her.

I have been quietly looking around for another rescue Yorkie to be a little sister to Martini. I may have found one. She is an owner surrendered, under a year old, little dog. Her present foster mother says when they received her from the previous owner she was horribly matted and looked as though the owner had just cut chunks of her hair out with scissors, leaving her looking quite pitiful. She may have to be shaved down completely. But like your hair and mine, it’ll grow back.

They are going to spay her, have a couple of her baby teeth removed, and chip her before they will release her to a new home. The foster mother says the little dog loves to play with squeaky toys and other dogs. Sounds like a match so far since Martini loves toys and other animals. He would play with Fred the Cat, but Fred refuses to acknowledge that Martini exists.

Here’s something else. Martini’s third birthday will be November the 8th. That is about the time this other little dog will be ready to go to a new home. Martini might love getting a little sister for his birthday. What better way to make a Martini complete than to add Gin?

So now we just wait and wait and wait. Whatever the outcome, it was or wasn’t meant to be.

I see a pattern developing here. Let me see...next might be Olive or maybe Vermouth possibly Straight Up or On the Rocks...sure sounds like what the Dog Whisperer would call a pack in the making.

awwww-- fallenmonk stole my post.
I'll just go sit over here by Martini's toy box and play with his toys while I sulk.

Is Fred going to be okay with this? He still has seniority, after all.
