What did you do?

This weekend we, for the most part, finished our gift shopping. The trip to the local shopping area was a pain but we did it and did it well. Apparently someone in the mob of shoppers shared their germs with me and I am feeling it this morning. Seeing the results of that Cowboys game last night doesn’t make me feel any better. Ouch!

So tell me, what did you do this weekend?

I also went shopping. Finished gift shopping, decided on ham for the holidays-got a big one, put up lights on the outside, got a tree and trimmed it while listening to Holiday music with some holiday cheer. Wrote a story about my dog on the blog and slept in on Sunday. Was a real couch potato Sunday, read the paper, watched a movie, and man am I typical American boring or what. It was a relaxing weekend. Don't tell me what my present is, I sent you an invisiable 2007 Corvette.

Not much...finished up my presentations for the week with the client. Watched a couple of movies. The new Superman and the pirate move "Dead Man's Chest". Madam had rented a couple of more but she had to watch those alone while I worked.
Traveled to Boston on Sunday afternoon and battled the big dig in the dark...what a mess.
Hope you feel better.

I hope the germs don't settle in, PoP!

I got fired up at a Human Rights / Impeachment forum on Saturday. On Sunday I was the restless consumer. Ventured out to buy the gifts that need to be mailed. After a late lunch and a cold draft beer, I could do no more shopping! Guess I'll venture out again next weekend, or give IOU's or something!

Went to downtown Detroit to watch the Lions lose again. They have really cleaned up the area around the stadium, but Detroit is STILL a dirty town. And the homeless people were everywhere, picking up returnable cans. We gave away quite a few beers, cigs and chicken wings. Met some interesting people.

Pretty much what you did, minus the germs and the football. Since most of my gifts have to be mailed out of state, I really pushed to get shopping done early. It feels good to have it done.

Recouperated from shopping by watching Rocky II and III for the 30th time plus Fellowship of the Ring.

Sat at my computer and allowed my fingers to do the shopping.

Listened to the new Beatles "Love" Album.

Wrote and mailed Christmas cards.

Catered to the cats.

Get well soon.

We went to a potluck dinner with friends and ate some delicious spanokopita, stuffed zucchini, and salad. Yum. We actually saw the sun for the first time in over a week. It's as beautiful as I remember it! Hope you feel better soon.

ran, ate, slept, ran, ate, slept........

Cant'figure out why I'm so busy all the time, I just run, eat and sleep, but that takes so much time.

I avoided any shopping, so it was a good weekend. ;-)

Waited half the day Saturday for Chem-Free (the bug guy), who was also an artist, even had his portfolio with him and gave us a print in exchange for a young agave. He called our "rover ants" by the name "Rove ants" on purpose. Saw the movie Blood Diamond Saturday evening, and at midnight had to get Duncan (cat) to the emergency vet where his symptoms ended up not persisting, so he's still with us. Heard some nice classical music at the UU church Sunday, and collapsed Sunday night watching the Simpsons and the X-Men 3 on rental. Managed to squeeze in at least 8 hours of work too. Exhausting.

Oh gosh feel better!

Hmm horrifying visit to my mother in New Jersey, seven year old brother lost one of his front teeth...now he appears to be a hillbilly!

Doing the shopping excursions as well, went into a mall...SCARY! And was followed about by a woman wearing too much perfume telling me to straighten my hair with her miracle product...SCARIER!

Picked out THE christmas tree. Of course it's little and skinny and I'm calling it Charlie Brown.

Hmm and heated debate over Bush.

Ugh I don't want to shop anymore.

Same as you. Some ass sneezed ON ME the other day, so spent the weekend curled up under about 4 quilts shivering. And yelling at The Boys. Parcells has got to go. Now.

Planning a new construction project for the house. As usual, doing the blueprints, design, and the work myself and I'm anal about getting things right the first time. My next 8 months are gonna be even crazier than normal. Does that make sense?

Murdered a peaceful spruce tree and installed it in the living room. Dug out the oraments and fought with the lights. Swore a lot during the whole process. Then drank a vodka martini.

Had a fantastic weekend. The dance studio where my daughters dance had a Christmas Luau. I got to play bass guitar in the Hawaiian band and then jumped on the Tahitian drums for the second half of the luau. Played to a crowd of 300. What an experience. The girls looked beautiful in their hula outfits.

Hope you feel better soon, PoP.

Both my wife and I have been sick - so we spent the weekend indoors mostly. Tis the season to feel sniffly.

Sunday morning I watched the London derby of Chelsea v. Arsenal (my football). Sunday night we ate turkey at my mom's house - and Cairo got ample amounts of dark meat :)

I put up a big beautiful tree with all of my favorite baubles collected from places over the years. I have Che hanging on my tree with a Corona beer. Don't ask me why, someone just made that ornament and I bought it and it is on the tree. I also have my beautiful hand-painted ornament of The Red Light District, bought in Amsterdam. I put up my beautiful hand painted ornament of fat gals drinking champagne in a hot tub. I also put up my beautiful hand painted ornament of Alcatrez (sp?). It is a lovely debauchery tree. I am venturing out this evening to a Christmas bazzare to buy more ornaments. I do this every year.

I bought my little doggie a new girlfriend for Christmas. The poor little fellow was snipped at quite a young age and has never had a real girlfriend, but for some reason he falls madly in love with oversized stuffed animals. I bought him a giant life size stuffed sheep dog. He is a little Sheltie so he likes herding sheep. His new big girlfriend is an Old English sheepdog. He gets her on Christmas eve. He can smell her now. Poor thing, she is hiding in the garage for her big debut and every time he goes in the garage he sniffs and sniffs.
