What’s wrong with this picture?

It isn’t unusual to see hot air balloons here on the weekends and holidays. However it is unusual to see them this low and between so many electric lines. The one in the photo was trying to takeoff but having a bit-o-trouble lifting up. As it worked out, the thing finally rose above the lines and went along its merry way safe and sound.

I think I see what's wrong- no SUVs in any of those driveways! Apparently no one feels compelled to help drive up gas prices in that neighborhood!

Takes a lot more to get it up when it's hot. Give Rush a call, he can help.

I thought what was missing was me! I'd love to be under those palms and the wistful sky (not that it's bad here today).

I thought some local roofing contractors had suffered the total loss of all of their ladders the night before, and, needing to complete the job on time, made do with the tools they had at hand. ;)

I think we're neighbors! Or perhaps all houses in Florida look vaguely similar. At any rate, glad that balloon cleared the lines and made it up.

That's a dangerous thing...I hope they realized the potential hazard of their actions...some people just have the luck!

At least your ballon is quiet right? I've got banner planes flying back and forth all day advertising to the beach-goers.

Wow. I can't believe they lifted off in that close a space with all the power lines. Power lines are not a friend of balloon. It's about the only way you can get killed in one. Love the shot though. I used to crew for a balloon for years.
