Great picture. Are they really orchids? I don't know too much about tropical plants.
They are real and when these first bloom, the blossoms are a sort of pea green. As the blooms age they turn to the color you see here.
I've never successfully taken care of a plant in my life. What a loser :-(
pOp - Have you ever been to the orchid show at Rockefeller Center? If not, the plaza is just beautiful and the entire ice skating/cafe area is tented and full of orchids. I have a picture of some of the plaza, but not sure I have a digital image as it was two years ago.
I'm sure the plantlife in Florida is fabulous with all that warm weather.
Are you planting anything on June 10th, aside from yourself in a reclining position with a martini?

Very pretty yellow. I have 4 yellow bloomers currently...non scented. 2 phals, 1 promenea and 1 encyclia.
I tried for years to grow orchids inside, and I just couldn't get it right. I think the dry winters are just too much for them. Yours are beautiful!
