Republicans Fighting the Wrong Fight

After watching about 95% of the healthcare summit yesterday I came away feeling a couple of things. First I admired the President for keeping his cool and grace in the face of such unsubstantiated opposition and second I felt frustration for him as he had to explain the same things to the Republicans over and over and over. If I could understand what he was saying why the hell couldn’t they?

Will the summit change anything? I doubt it but it did show the Republicans have more determination to fight the President’s plan than they do to fight the healthcare monster we seeing rearing up before us every day.

Pop, You might like to comeback to Craig's Trailmix for a visit. This subject had lots of commentary yesterday and today. Really, you don't know whether the Republicans are unusually dense or just spoiled brats throwing a temper tantrum.

oh, they do know this stuff. they just want to ignore this stuff. they want to STUFF their fat fingers in their ears and sing the Lalalalalala song. They cannot bear to see a democratic/Obama victory on this or any other thing. Gee, why don't they get on board so they can claim this bill went through with help from the GOP?

I agree with the way you came away from this, but, in addition I would say that it made me think that a voice is such a fragile thing; and, every voice wants to be heard. But, I think it was when I heard Mike Pence?s voice directing Republican talking point after Republican talking point at the president that I took note of how emotionally sad he was. It kind of made me sad for him and his caucus.
