Happy MLKJDay, PoP.

Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.

Let us honor Dr. King today not just by thinking about peace and reconciliation but by being peace and reconciliation.

MLK's vision of peace love and equality are still radical ideas in this day and age, unfortunately.

Sadly in this world of today, we are "perishing like fools."

Good quote.

Let's start by not electing a fool President during the next election.

Oh wait, George Bush isn't running.

Never mind.

Dr. King had a beautiful dream. I only hope I live long enough to see it become reality.

One of my favorite quotes of MLK...

"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom."-Martin Luther King, Jr.

I put it on my blog marquee for today.

Hillary Clinton is giving a great speech about MLK right now. Of course, they cut her speech off and John Edwards' speech after a one minute and showed ALL of Barack Obama's speech. It's a shame that they didn't give equal time for all of them.

*sigh* What Lew, Larry, Coffee, and Undeniable said.

I have a dream that one day the Republican party of Abe Lincoln returns and the NeoCon agenda finally succumbs to the cancer that inhabits it.

Lou Gosset Jr spoke today at the University, and one of his comments really stuck with me. Talking about the state of the world, the environment, and our national insanity, he said that we are like passengers on a crashing airplane fighting to get into first class.

That is exactly right! We will not stop fighting for that end but we are now fighting the decider!

Wonderful quote, Pop. I wish I had King's ability to state such profound truths in such beautiful but simple language. I posted a couple of my favorite King quotes yesterday too, but I think I love yours even more.
