Flowers and a Thank You to you guys

It isn’t some exotic, tropical disease, but it is the mother of all flu bugs and it me hit last Thursday. File my weekend under “miserable”.

I want to thank Fred the Cat and ALL you guys for keeping Morning Martini alive this past weekend. Thank you so much. I’ll try to get back into my usual piss and moan posting as soon as I can.

We'll all do some extra pissing and moaning to help cover for you.

Stay warm and drink a lot. It may not cure you but at least you won't give a shit. LOL

Sorry to hear you're stuck with the flu. There are some nasty ones going around this year that can knock you completely out so take care of yourself, PoP.

Eat lots of popsicles and drink whiskey mixed with honey and lemon juice. Hopefully, the combo will take the edge off according to my favorite pediatrician.

Hope you're better soon.

BTW, great picture.

Feel better soon! Is that a January blossom? We have our annual day of sleet coming down today so it's nice to see a flower.

Get better soon, my friend.
I would go with the popsicles and whisky myself - if you tummy can handle it.

I only do chicken broth - full-out soup sometimes is too much on the delicate tummy.

Take care of yourself. This will save you a visit to the doctor's office: "take two aspirin and call in the morning." I hope you're feeling better really quick, being sick is the pits.

But rest UP and Get Better and we'll see you back to posting as soon as ever you can!

Patricia,
God, I am so sorry. I suspected you became more sick. I have a friend who caught this mother and she said she had never, ever, been sicker in her life. Is your throat sore? She had an incredibly sore throat. I sure hope you get better soon. I am so sad for you.
Big hugs,
Pursey

PoP, I hate the flu and hate it when friends get stricken by it. I could give you all sorts of coping advice, but hell, you're old enough to know all of it is worthless - just stay warm and dry and eat whatever you can keep down (or in as the case may be).

Hope I am not too late:
Tequila, lime and cinnamon. Then take a hot bath. Then sleep under a lot of covers nude. then take a shot of tequila for breakfast. Now go to the mirror in your bathroom. Look at yourself. See how silly you look for following someone’s advice who is not a doctor. Feel sorry for your self. Drown your sorrows in a bottle of tequila. Wake up the next morning without the flu.
